Boy oh boy I've heard so many people to claim things like "I'm a trained singer" (means diddly squat) and involved in music (well many people are involved in horse racing but they're not going to beat Sunline over 1400m at Moonee Valley).

but Guy does have to be careful as sometimes he forgets to hold the mic close up to his mouth when hes caught up in a song and moving about, and the sound goes a bit quieter It is actaully a technique i believe, most professional singers do it when they hit a high note 2 make it sound better.

Will YOU watch WI next year? I’m sure most who have already seen it will, whether you like the way it’s presented/cut/pre-recorded/shown differently in country etc. or not. I'd watch the show for the singers, but not bother with the results show, because the world is weird and confuses me . Also, there might be another Maniac! ;D

I'm a professional singer and I don't have to strangle cats with lawnmowers or go for a one armed revolution on the uneven bars to express the intentions of the song and the purpose of music. Too many people have been misguided by the exhibitionism of Winfield Houston and Marina Carrey - these two people have done everything in their powers to annihilate lyrics and scream the beauty out of a song - on the other hand they can certainly sing brilliantly when they do something tastefully.
....I'M PINKLINE JONES AND I'VE HAD A GUT FULL

Kelly is definitely guided by Whitney & co.

When he pulls the mic away, he loses the volume! I thought that Marcia would have said something to him about it during the competition, but I don't think she did. He'll get it right eventually, i've got faith in him lol

superc, it's great that Guy's willing to create his own style, being influenced by many great musos/singers, and being guided by God, from my understanding.
When you are practicing alone on your own, or with others, you do begin to discover what your voice can uniquely do. Good for Guy for showing that freshness, and being willing to take the risks he has. I notice he has handled criticism very gracefully.

lmao NorthernStar!! Ditto PJ! I'm sure we'd love to hear your contribution since you're so quick to pass judgement on everyone else!
Elle, the PI song is ' 'Til You Come Back To Me' (originally by Aretha Franklin) - did you find the link there? - and was from the 'last 10' show of Pop Idol. Here's the link again incase you didn't find it: Sorry, link removed! Please pm me!
The other link there, 'Love The One You're With' is the only cover on his second album, which was originally done by Crosby, Steele and Nash I think. This was recorded from CD:UK, a TV program ... which was lucky enough to attend the recording of! It was very different to WI or PI 'cos the audience are dancing around the stage ... it was great!
btw, sorry if I confused you by saying LMF was live - of course it was 'cos Will only EVER sings live (unlike a hellofalot of artists), but what I meant was that it was at a huge, live, outdoor concert with his band as opposed to a small indoor performance. So were the other 2 tracks I've put there. The PI link above, as you can probably hear, was in the TV studio and performed to a backing track ... like all PI performances - quite different really isn't it?
Have you listened to the other links? What did you think?
Can anybody provide any unreleased links like these to Guy please, as I'd like to listen but don't want to download things that he's released and undercut sales??

Anuverwillfan, my computer won’t allow me to listen to all of Will’s songs, I can listen to Over You, Lover won’t you stay, and Light my Fire.
My computer is ‘very protective’ of itself (with special firewalls etc) – Never mind. Those 3 were great to listen to. Of course he’d do well if he came out here.

I've downloaded some of Guy's, so I'll listen to them and report back!

I think Pinkline is saying he was a party to the singing of these songs on a number of famous people's albums, including 'his' or is it 'their' own albums?
Have I worked out who you are Pinkline? Unless you are kidding, I am guessing you are one of a twosome (2 men, or maybe you're both commenting???)
If you are not joking, has anyone else guessed "Who is Pinkline"? .....or am I right off target Pinkline?
