After listening to Dicko's hurtful comments to Paulini last night, you would think that he is Brad Pitt. How dare he critisise Paulini's gorgeous figure when he is obviously overweight and not to mention rude, arrogant and clueless. Are we supposed to believe that all female singers should be the same? Skinny, blonde and anglo-saxon in appearance? Paulini may not fit the usual mould of how a 'star' should look, but then again, Dicko doesnt exactly fit the mould of how a star critic should act. I, for one, think that Paulini is a beautiful woman with loads of talent and should be judged on her talent, not on Dicko's narrow view on beauty.

I love Paulini, she has a fantastic voice. And there we should stop. Her looks are not her asset. And that's the truth. Her "golden" outfit was so terrible, I couldn't believe my eyes! Who hates this girl so much to put her in those clothes! I think from last night she lost a lot of respect in many of her fans (including me). Gees, talking about looking classy, she looked so cheap last night. I am very dissapointed. Why did she do it? Leave Dicko alone. His comment was in place.

While I think Dicko's comment about weight was a little over the line, I don't think Paulini really dressed to flatter herself last night. Anyone would look wrong in that gold thing.

I am so shocked! I think Paulini looked great last night. She's not big at all. She has a hot body and should be showing it off. Think about Beyonce Knowles, who's onstage presentation she was obviously emulating. Maybe if she was a crap singer or perhaps if she was ugly, then Dicko's comments could be justified but that was a low blow coming from a sleazy, dirty record producer. She's on stage and should present herself in the flashiest way possible. I think her outfit was totally acceptable for the song she performed and she is an excellent role model for Australian girls. P.S Her arse is half the size of Beyonce's if anything, it could be bigger. If only Autralian people could be a little more accepting of real women.

I agree that Dicko was way out of line and very hurtful to Paulini and her family. I hope one of them was waiting outside after the show with a baseball bat because he deserves it. It's hard enough for young women to get recognition for talent without playing the slutty soft porn princess ala brittney and madam aguilera but to make a statement like that on national television with thousands of teenage girls watching is totally irresponsible and mysogonistic. Also, if I hear Holden spitting out anymore lusty comments about Cossima,I'm going to puke. I'm so glad I grew up in a time when Queen's Fat Bottom Girls was a hit!!So ladies, get out there and strut your stuff and even better, do it in a tight gold dress!!!!!

You girls need a reality check. Do you really think that it's OK to squeeze in that horrible dress? Paulini being probably size14-16? As I said before, HER WONDERFUL VOICE is her asset - not her looks, she should keep people's attention TO HER VOICE! Not to her huge ass! Also, if you even think her looks can compare to Beyonce's you really need your head to be examined! Puhhleeeease! Paulini and Beyonce! Dicko was spot on with his comments, and as much as it pains me to agree - Mark Holden as well!

Re this whole thing with Paulini's dress last night -- I think it's a pity she chose the outfit. It was an awful dress and I think probably only a handful of people would look good in it. Having said that, she is really beautiful and just lights up the stage when she sings. She did seem a little breathless the second time -- I don't know whether the dress was a bit tight and interfered with her breathing or whether she'd had to run from the style place to backstage or something ...
Someone commented that it's so nice to see a real woman on stage. I agree and I don't really think she's a big girl. I just think that particular dress accentuated every single curve, which isn't always a good thing, unless you have no hips!
As far as talent goes I think Paulini really has what it takes and I hope she lasts tonight. We got straight onto the voting for her last night, because we didn't want to see her in the bottom three again.
I thought Mark's comments were out of line (so what else is new) and I was also disappointed by what Dicko said. It may have been kinder to speak to Paulini after the show about the dress, not humiliate her on national television, which she did not deserve.
BTW I also found Marcia's body language interesting last night. She ended up with her chair turned towards Dicko and pretty much with her back turned to Mark. I think she was pretty close to giving him a slap. From what she said to Paulini she was clearly very angry with him.
And one last thing -- I was very impressed with Andrew and James, the way they came over to meet Paulini and build her up again in front of the audience. It was a very classy thing to do -- well done guys!

TEXT - that's Dicko's job - that's why he's paid the big bucks. Every person that looked at Paulini in that dress last night was too distracted to even listen to her voice. She looked great in the black pants/top number in her first song. Dicko was right - now everyone is talking about the dress and not her performance (that's not the way to sell a record dear.......)

Who cares what she wore??? Come on guys she was still the best proformer of the night. I think that Dicko said this partly for the fact that the dress wasnt the best choice but mostly to help get the votes up for her. Really, if he didnt say his comments last week to Rob do you think that he would have been back this Sunday - No he would have been on the phone to Dicko on Tuesday.
Get your fingers going and vote for this beautiful, talented, sexy girl who has now learnt from her mistake last night, lets see how she blows us away next week.
At least Dickos comments are real and fairyfloss like Sweety Marcia or dropkick Marks.
