Raspberry the clip on the rehearsal at Newcastle was on the Chanell 10 5pm news, as usual.
There a great jive scene between Guy and Shannon - Paulini grooves away well in part of the clip, Guy goes over and give Marcia a big hug and sits down to talk to her - obviously catching up after a while since Guy's worldwind events of late.

I went to the Newcastle concert last night and it was fantastic!! Worth every cent.
I don't want to spoil it though for people who are going to the Sydney, Melbourne, Perth etc.. concerts coming up by giving away a bit of what happens, that I can remember anyway - am very tired at present. So if you don't want to know about some of the songs and format etc PLEASE don't read on.
Firstly, all the Idols sing 'Let Me Entertain You', after Dicko introduced them - he was MC. Then for the first half of the show, the Idols from 12 down to 1, ie from Matt, Peter, Cle, Lauren etc...down to Shannon, Guy, sang two songs each solo. Guy sang All I Need Is You and Climb Every Mountain. Shannon sang a track off his new album and Better be Home Soon. He sat on a stool for the second one. Cosima sounded good and her first song I didn't recognise, but she then sang Predictable quite well IMO. Paulini sang Freeway of Love and The Voice Within. Then after everyone sang we had a break for 25minutes, and came back for group singing. They all started with 'We Will Rock You'. Guy looked great in his black leather jacket. Then there were various groupings, singing songs like Superstition, building up to Levi coming out to sing, a few of them singing Shut Up to Dicko, and Bek, Paulini and Levi sang Where is The Love also by the Black Eyed Peas. Dicko wore Paulini's gold top, and picked a best banner in the audience and those people got to go backstage afterwards, so jealous.
Shannon and Cosima sang Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For together, Guy sang Crazy in Love with help from Paulini and Bek. Courtney Act sang Lucky in Love by Kylie Minogue, John Foreman on piano, and then he/she sang a song with Millsy. Towards the end, Shannon sang What About Me, then Dicko introduced Guy as the last act.
Guy sang When I Get You Alone and got everyone up dancing. Then the stage went dark, we were all roaring our lungs out and stomping our feet, and a piano was brought on stage. A spotlight went on and Guy was sitting at the piano in a white suit jacket, over a black singlet top he was wearing earlier (he has great biceps) and jeans. He started playing Angels Brought Me Here on the piano and singing, we were all singing along (very loudly) too. About half way through he took the mike and went to the front of the stage to finish the song off. It was superb and I will never forget it.
Lastly, all the Idols sang the Austrlaiana medley they sang on the night of the Final, You're the Voice, Shout, Still Call Australia Home etc.. Sounded great.
Guy had a 5 O'clock shadow and did look a bit tired though. It has been very hot here in Newcastle and all that rehearsing would have taken it out of them. Guy and everyone, were still so awesome nevertheless.
PS I think we are so very, very lucky to have such a brilliant person in all ways, musically and with such depth of character, to be our Idol. I can't wait until Guy has his own tour.
I hope this helps people who don't have a ticket, and sorry if I've spoiled it for anyone who accidently reads this post.
Cherub.

Cherub
Good review. I'm in America and I just asked for review because after American idol concerts we all bonbard the boards with our reviews and I was expecting you guys to do the same. It can be a lot of fun reading everyone's take on it. I don't think you gonna really ruin it for those who didn't it see it yet, because I went to the first season of our concert and I know its different watching it live than reading about it - its much more fun and exciting.
Also, I asked for review mostly because I'm interested in Guy.(i became a fan of his from World idol) Those are good songs he got to perform. I really like his songs, "All I need is you," 'When I get you alone' and "You're the voice. " Good to know he got to perform those. "Angel brought me here" is nice too - I bet it was even more touching with him sitting at the piano and the spotlight on they had on him.
