I don't think that the Pan Arabic votes were "weird and downright incorrect", it's just that they probably listen to different styles of music and maybe the people who got the top votes in their country had the same sort of style they listen to... [glow=red,2,300];D ;D MSP ;D ;D[/glow] It's political. The US and the countries who support them were all at the bottom of the voting.

So Australia won't b getting it? . He's bound to release another one here soon anyway. Does anyone know anything about it? It could be the same one or at least one of the ones off his album anyway.

I agree that there was some sort of political aspect involved in the voting in pan arabian countries. But I think only USA suffered really from this. Im sorry to say it, but I think they are too busy hating America to think that much about UK and Australia But I honestly dont think they voted politically for that German dude. As I do happen to know people from some of those countries, I can assure you that they have quite a different taste in general than the rest of the countries that competed, hehehe... Gah, I still have nightmares from when I caught I ride with someone I know who's originally Arabian I think (judging races isnt my best skill, and I honestly dont care)... Lets just say that it makes me look a tad milder at that german maniac

If you think about it, Australian Idol only just finished. Many of the nations represented have already completed their second series and the winners in the USA and Europe would have had quite a bit of exposure and experience in the Northern Hemisphere, before the show.
For one of the judges to go on about the number of #1 albums was totally irrelevant as some of them had only just released their first album.
Guy was great, however, I wonder if his choice of song was the right one for that particular forum. 'When Doves Cry' might have done it for him.
I thought it very refreshing that Kurt was so popular for his Voice and not his "poster" appeal. Afterall, when we buy a single or album or flip on the radio it's their voice we hear.
Kurt definitely looked nothing like his voice but he was exceptional.
The antics of the judges and the editing of the show also left a lot to be desired.
Actually I think the series could have been more aptly named "World Judge".

I thought that Kurt was good but I like Guy better and thought Kurt, Kelly and Guy would of been in top 3. Its good to hear that Kurt thought Guy was a great and guess with them both being singer/songwriters and play instruments, that they had something to talk about. The only real surprise in the top 5 was Heinz, hes a pretty boy and ok singer, but choose a well known modern day rock song like Kurt and Peter did. I think Guy should of even been 4-5th and Heinz 6-7th, if Guy hadnt gotten a couple lower scores. I did notice that Guy got in the top 5 in Canada , USA and UK and those are the countries that matter the most for future success with his type of music, not those european/arabic countries. plus hes already had success in New Zealand with his single and album.

Guy probably was too different. I like different. BTW, I noticed on another forum that someone who put Alexander first on their list put him there because he was "outgoing". Maybe pan Arabic people like outgoing singers?

yeah I was thinking that maybe Pan Arabic liked the dancing more since some maybe couldnt understand the words? Ryan from Canada was also one that was moving around a bit and got 2nd place.....remember someone said he was like string puppet and swapping the microphone from hand to hand. also Canada didnt support Bush in the war.
I didnt mind Ryan although thought Guy should of been ahead of him
