Would I choose a Kurt concert over Kelly or Will?
Hell YEAH.
I agree though, I think a bit of humility will do Guy and all of the Idols some good. Heh...

no afence but world i dol was a joke i mean Kurt did have a good voice and im glad he won but common you have to know that the votes were mostly based on politics, racism, andseriotypical people. World idol turned out to be more about politics than talent.and how can they even call it world idol when only 11 countries compete. TEXT

The whole premesis ofwhich Idol was based was to make an Artist in each of the participating countrys, am i right?. Winning an Idol contest would mean that you are now to be deemed a professional artist,. Why, after the idol comps of other countrys would you put them through it again, as professionals?,. You go from being an artist to 1 of 10 losers again, and for what gain?. Not to mention the Idol competiton has only really made 4 true artists (guy, kelly, will, kurt). im perplexed at why World Idol even started.

I think Kurt winning was a classic example of everyone rootin' for the underdog and wanting to see said underdog win. Seriously, if you had the chance to see each of the idols performing their own concert/extravaganza/spectacular, would you choose Kurt over everyone else? I sure as hell wouldn't pay money to see him if I could see Kelly, Guy or even Will, instead. Kurt would be as boring as bat poop. Kurt had a good voice, granted. But that was it. He didn't give me anything new. His performance was a complete imitation of the original U2 song. My question: What happened to looking at the whole package? Seems like U would be beter of with a swimsuit magazine ;D Look seems 2 be your demand. Bono actually sings diferent than what Kurt did, and said to U2 Fan club in sweden that if he died he hoped Egde would contact Kurt! I totally understand that many people are disappointed that their local idol didn't do better, but undermining another artists talent in this manner is lowlife!!!! Get over it !

The whole premesis ofwhich Idol was based was to make an Artist in each of the participating countrys, am i right?. No it was a way to sell large quantities of records in a short amount of time and to earn money through TV rights and voting revenue. If the singer found proved to have longevity beyond the initial impetus of the show itself so much the better, so far the only one to my knowledge to have shown that is Will by the fact that his second album has outsold his first. A profesional? Yes in that they now earn their living from singing. An artist? not necessarily, that's gauged on the music they put out there, respect within the industry has to be earnt, you can't win it. Money to line Fuller's pockets even more and to satisfy his ego and fulfill his dream plus market research to find out which countries to promote the idols in next

The thing with Kurt is, is that he doesn't seem to have much natural Musical Ability. He is a very good mimic, which has been proven through the release of his first single 'She's so high'. This is repetitive when looking at most of the other Idols except for Guy. Doing some research it seems that none of the other Idol's have written any of their own songs, with the exception of Guy. As Simon Cowell said to Heinz "Most of the other Idols, you included don't have natural charisma like the Australian boy"

But I'll have to bring something up again: Kurt has written 9 of the 12 song on his debut album himself. The quality differs of course as he had to release it asap, like your Guy did (not as little as 6 days though, closer to a month I think/guess). He has also written songs for his band Fenrik Lane (I prefer most of them to the newer ones). Of course he aint no Bob Dylan, atleast not yet, but who knows what the future brings...

Yeah, when i heard his performance I thought he just had a good voice and that was that, but from what I later herad, Kurt seems like one of the more musical of the bunch. It would have been nice if he could have shown some of that in his performance on the show, although i did like is song anyway.

Yeah, he could of course re-arrange the whole song to fit his own style... but well, as we noticed with Guy, that wasnt a success :/

I wonder what the result would have been if it's been done by the judges and not the public.
