Not a big millsie fan, but good on him. I hope he does well he is certainly working very hard at keeping his face known. And looks like he is having a good time too.

I reckon the whole album will be like that. Manuafactured ditties that will suprise and intrigue no one. I had a look at the u.s idol stuff on amazon and it was all boring.

I agree the song is pretty run of the mill, but they both did the best they could with it. Guys versionwas better but it was more his style of song. Shannon couldn't get those high clarity notes cos he has that rough husky rock voice. Thats the trouble with Guy winning this thing. We will get over produced pap rather than something new and different!

I want Guy to win because he has the most beautiful voice. But I am becoming disillusioned with what we will get if he does. The idol single was pretty boring and I think we will get more of the same from an idol album. If Guy did not win would he get the chance to make something a bit different something more innovative. I guess the idol album will be pap for the masses. I think he could give us much more than that.

I will actually be glad when it is over, I can get back to doing the other stuff I usually do. But ahh well I am hooked now. Sort of getting sick of all the drama as well its like a bloody soap opera sometimes. I have to watch it to the end now.

There will just be Cosima updates on Rove tonight, but I don't think she is going to be on. Thats what the man himself has just said anyway.

I really loved Cle too. She had a gutsy quality about her that I like in female singers. Like Vika Bull,Aretha Franklin. Shame she chose that Janet Jackson song it was just not the right one for her. I thought she had the style to win when I first saw her. Hope She does okay.

Marcia is TOO damn nice!! gee, grow a spine lady I agree with you there constructive criticism is better than all totatlly positive coments. as long as it is not hurtful and rude. I got a bit sick of her platitudes.

If he does good luck to him. But do you have to create a whole thread of racist comments and badly spelt slurs. Think of something better to do with your time. Personally I am going purely on the voice and Guy has the most wonderful sound to his so I am voting for him. I am sure they will both do well out of the competition. They are all aussies and lets be proud we have a nation that can produce so many different cultures and people who can sing great. Go the Aussies.

I'd rather hear Paulini sing something soulful, who cares if she can't sing the national anthem..........who can. Its a deep low song and difficult to sing I think.

What about we get Kiwi Idol after U.s Idol. Ch 10 could change its name to Idol Channel and we could watch idol shows from around the world all day. I tell you what it'd beat the hell out of some of the crap that is on there now. Apart from Wife Swap, now that is a good bit of tv voyeurism. Always gives me a laugh anyway. And makes me appreciate my old man a lot more.

This is quite interesting I was just thinking about this today. Seems like the world wanted something they could identify with. Not new and innovative. That is why everyone has gone for Kurt. I thought he was good on the show and he stood out amongst the others. I was desperately hoping for someone who would make me say "wow"but it did not happen. Guy was just too different and the song was changed too much for them to get it. It is a very beloved song and some would not appreciate the changes. My hubby does not like it all, the backing track in particular. I do happen to like it and I like people to try new things and experiment with songs. I also liked Jamai very much too I think his problem seemed to be lack of confidence and nerves. Kelly is not my type of singer but I can see she is talented I think she needs to develop her own style though and not just be a Whitney/Mariah clone. Its not different enough for me. Guy is also the type of singer who grows on you,I liked him at his first audition but he did not stand out then as a winner to me because there were too many in your face performers. He gradually grew on me each week. If he looked like Heinz he may have got nearer the top I think he appealed to the girls,a bit bland though.

I liked him he seemed like a nice guy too. I heard a nice little catch in his voice. He was a lot better than Peter and Alexander and Alex. Maybe he was a little lacking in confidence. Pete Waterman liked him too.

I think that was all a bit of a joke. Everyone knows Will did not want to be there, and I doubt he wouldv'e wanted to win. He was messing about pretending he was shocked at his results.
