Cosima - changed her style too often and trying to out-scream Paulini annoyed me.
Cle - her voice was too raspy and I didn't like her attitude.
Kelly - Thought she was a rock chick but sounded more like a pop chick plus I didn't like the constant skirt over pant thing she had going.....got boring.

I agree wth angelicfiend about cosima. Paulini's singing was classy, Cosima tried way too hard with her screaming in a vain attempt to outdo her. Lauren just needed to be older. She would have been damn good if she was 25. Millsy is so annoying. Guy doesn't connect with alot of people, his voice is bland, he always sounds the same no matter what kind of song he's singing. He also breaks up his notes too often, and that's quite annoying to listen to, he doesn't make it flow beautifully like Paulini.

Guy doesn't connect with alot of people, just to the GREATER majority of the voting public. Get a reality check you really need one.

As far as the reference to Guy not connecting with a lot of people, are you sure you're not talking about the guy who lives next door to you? Some of the things I've read since spending time here again have totally freaked me out.

I agree with zen...how can anyone say Guy didn't connect with people ...he won by connecting to the majority of Austalia, he has a beautiful melodic voice that sings to the soul!

barbs007, it likely stems from denial. In other words, "hello" disliked Guy's style so much that his enormous popularity and subsequent triumph was hard to accept.
Everyone has their taste and is entitled to their opinion. It's just that some opinions aren't transferred using the best choice of expression.

Lauren - for all the reasons already mentioned and that bad, bad attempt at Lady Marmalade
I'm sure she's a nice girl but someone needs to let her know that a smile won't kill her!

1. Rob Mills . cant sing ---and I longed to wipe the self-satisfied smile off his face.
2. Matt Thingummy, can't sing-----and borrrrring.
3.Guy,---- i know this view is supposed to be heresy, but he manages to overdecorate every line and also sounds too much like Cat Stevens for comfort. i honestly wonder whether he will be the Cabbage Patch Doll of this year.

Funny you should mention Cat Stevens, as just the other day I was pondering on the wonderful things Guy could do with My Lady D'Arbanville. Cat Stevens is one of my old time faves :> As far as the Cabbage Patch Dolls go, they'd make a mint if they did so :> There's a good side to everything

Pardon Syrup? Sorry I'm new to this board and i don't like being shot down straight away. I've noticed that the majority of people on this board like Guy the most. I haven't been on this board so i was just speaking from my experience with people i know about whether Guy connects with people. He doesn't connect with alot of people, the majority of people that i have spoken to about it. I've noticed now that it's not the majority on here.
I don't dislike Guy and I don't think it's fair you have been assuming things that you wouldn't have a clue about. So i was using the best choice of expression unlike as you said. He doesn't connect with alot of people as I have explained above for why i said that. I didn't go in swearing or making accusations which would be a bad method of expressing myself of course. So go and pick on someone else Syrup, not me.

“Hello”, first up, it is impossible to know who is new to the forum and who isn’t. There are so many posts made under that many aliases that it’s pointless trying to work out who’s new and who isn’t. In any case, welcome to the forum just the same.
Going from the things you mentioned about Guy, and the fact that you posted them in the thread titled “The Worst Finalist”, didn’t leave much scope for one to believe that you didn’t dislike Guy. In any case, the problem so to speak, is not whether you like or dislike him, you are obviously entitled to your own opinion. The point remains however, you yourself elected to come back and try to clear up what you meant after seeing that you hadn’t made yourself clear to begin with. That is what I meant about careful expression.
I’ve also noticed that you’re on the “throw stones at Cosima” bandwagon. Again, it’s your perception and you’re entitlement to believe whatever. Just remember though, her actions, regardless of what her motive was, left you assuming she’s a cheat etc. In a similar way, our wording also allows others to assume things about us thus my assumption about you in relation to your post I quoted you on.
BTW, for what it’s worth, I for one sincerely appreciate that you didn’t come on swearing like a lamer. As I’ve said time and again, how mundane the world would be without differing opinions so thanks for sharing yours. Me nice? Whoever told you that fib? :p Now you know I’m just a wicked evil witch!
