i won't say much because i haven't met him in person! I agree but i have read in a lot of places thet Will was only friendly looking and only on T.V. He didn't even go to the New Years eve party with the other 10 idols. I don't think that was nice at all.

Guy preferred to phone his family and wish them a happy new year to meeting David Beckham. Will preferred to spend new year with his friends to spending it with the other contestants. What's the difference?

What's the difference? Yep. But I think we also need to remember that WIll was in his home town/country amongst family and friends and his arrangements are likely to have been organised long before World Idol was finalised. I remember Will saying only a week before WI that he still didn't know the details of how it was going to work or what was happening!! Will was also in the middle of promoting his new single and new album so was appearing on just about every TV program and national concert going ... so I don't blame him for wanting to sit this one out - given that it was a late arrangement and he had seen little of family and friends for some months! After all, Christmas and New Year are times for those closest to us ... don't forget the other idols had no choice - they'd been flown here and had to make the best of it!

Bottom line - who cares! These people will not be on the tips of people's tongues in another hundred years.

The trouble is newspapers always have their own agenda ... and who knows if it's the truth? This is what a piccie in a mag over here shows: Kurt's victorious moment - doesn't look to me like Will is faking it! Also, this is what somebody I know who attended the results show had to say - btw I trust her judgement! "I was at the Results show, and had a clear view of Will/Kurt, as I was at the side with the idols, and Will either clapped/touched Kurts hand, or patted him, so I dont know where all this is coming from, and when Will came out of WI recording show, he was with Guy, laughing. I got to speak to Will, and give him a hug and a kiss, and Guy waited for him." I know the person that has told me this, and know her to be reliable ... sounds and looks to me like Will got on OK with both Kurt and Guy! ;D Will's over in Australia from this week, so why don't you see what he's like then?

Look, Will is responsible for both World Wars, the extinction of the Dodo bird and the Tasmanian Tiger, the failed British attempt to land on Mars, etc , he should be hung , drawn and quartered!

The best "perspective" we could hope for in regards to Will Smith would be the perspective of him walking through the departure gates at Sydney Airport on his way back to "The Land of the Long Cold Whinge"

I didn't like Will on WI at first but for some reason his song grew on me and I might get his CD. I think he's smart doing unconventional stuff because he is unconventional and can last because he is.
LOL at Paulini Who- what a great name!

AnuverWillieFan,
If I thought you were anything beyond pretty much insignificant then I might be offended by you ignoring me but in the scheme of things you're about as relevant as one of Cosima's dodgy throat nodules and that's only on an Alan Jones Open line day.
No I haven't read "The Obstacle" by Jezzebel Bollocks- Casting Couch III but to quote the great Jackson Marx - "no one gives a fistful of chardonnay shi*"

Hi anuverwillfan! Yeah, I wished he sang a different song on WI because I knew that rock purists would not like his take on "Light My Fire" and I knew he would not win. It was the first time I had ever heard him sing before. But he eventually left the biggest impression on me. I was singing that song, and even (jokingly) imitating his phrasing- "IIIIf I were to say to you, we couldn't much high-er. Come on baby li-i-ight my fi-re..."! And I liked that snippet I heard on the show of another song he sang.
Thanks for the links! I will buy his new CD. I know it will be interesting and not manufactured poppy.

Tho' maybe you thought that didn't include you? It's interesting hearing all these insults because they mean nothing to me - they do not cross the cultural divide! WHo the hell is Alan JOnes? ;D On the other hand, I thought you might have heard of Charlotte Perkins Gilman because she was one of America's foremost feminist writers ... and indications you've given me suggest that you are American. Maybe I'm wrong.....
