Well you're all going to be proven wrong - Paulini is a CLASS act and will be picked up by any shrewd record company.

Reinstated? Don't you mean instated? Or did she have the title at some point?

Guy has a voice quality that will do well internationally. (Just give him the right hit song) He stood out to me because his voice is really star quality and similar to Terence Trent Darby - and he is an international star and people in the industry think he's one of the special voices and major talent and has won grammy awards. Don't let that manipulated world idol result reflects how well Guy can do internationlly. People know he did great and should have ranked a lot higher - if he didnt win. I voted for him in America and ranked him first.
Anyway I talked more about this world idol issue in the "world idol is a joke" thread. Here's my post:
Anyone, can see the voting was manipulated - it was glaringly obvious. Guy was great. Only clueless people who can’t really judge talent can argue against that. He was my favorite and his singing was beautiful and I voted for him here in America, and most people agreed he was gonna be a strong contender. They are shocked about his ranking. I like Kurt and thought he was good too, but he was third favorite with me. But I expected he’d win because it was clear the Idol producers wanted him to win. But I expected Guy to be in the top 3 at least. But looking at the results it’s obvious the votes were manipulated by producers -- this is still a reality show people. Like you said how could anyone not see the results can’t be totally accurate if they said someone like Alexander was voted first place in the Arab countries when it was clear he wasn’t that good. This is political to make the Arabs look like they’re stupid because of all the conflict going on. But some people are not sophisticated enough to see through this manipulations. (Arab countries usually like the soulful melodic type songs like Guy sang too. I’m an international person and I’m familiar with different cultures) And nothing wrong with Guy's arrangement of the song either. I prefer his version to the original – that one is boring and jazzy.
This not about having a problem that Kurt won. Its just hard to believe that people are actually using this results to claim the world doesn’t think Guy is good enough and should rank so low. The producers already knew how they gonna do the ranking for whatever reason (maybe to help some safe face, and others sell more records) The peoples votes didn’t really have much to do with it.
Oh and I don’t think Peter was the worst really. He was ok and 6th on my list. (Alexander last place) But I certainly don’t think Peter, Heinz, or Ryan would have placed higher than Guy. Anyone who has a clue about judging talent can see that.

It's good to hear other country's perspectives on how Guy did and how they think he might do. I don't think he is what most people overseas would have expected of the "Australian Idol" but we're really proud of him!

If they released it so quickly to America and its on the billboard site they obviously know he got great response and tons of votes here even if they didn't give him a high ranking that he deserves. I hope his next CD that he's suppose to be recording soon they'll give him more than a week to record it. (I can't believe they did the recording in a week) And they'll pack it with hits and new uptempo and midtempo Pop/R & b songs that can be radio as well as club hits. That's how you launch major international career. But this CD will introduce him since people are already asking about his CD, and now they can find it at stores and not buy import.

Maybe they will release a single first...just to introduce him here to the masses. Would be great if he got some airplay on some really good radio stations!

This is really exciting guys! News reports from Oz said that he was going to go back to the US and UK to work with recording artists there and write some songs... so your dream could come true, Aurorab . Guy's voice has all the potential to make it huuggggee... but he needs the right songs to do it. His current album is a solid start, but is a little too laid back and sweet right now. More edge required to make a big splash in the music world. Go Guy!

David,
No I MEANT "reinstated" - she was everyone's Idol before Dicko and Marcia and the morons who voted her out lost the plot.
