Hey! Ok, we've been getting a lot of OZ visitors on our UK forums, so I thought I'd do the same! You guys really like Guy don't ya! Anyway, I thought maybe I could clear a few things up, regarding the voting, now this is how I understand it. OK, I'm not sure if you are familiar with Eurovision or not, if your not, count yourself lucky ;D I would assume it works like this. Each countrys public vote gets converted into points, 1 - 12, according to the amount of votes, so if France get the least votes from the UK, they would get 1 Point. And then Australia gets the most votes, that would get 12 points, the same for the other votes inbetween , 2, 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 ,7 8 , 10 , The reason they are converted into points is down to the population of the country, so each countrys vote is equal. In other words The Highest vote from the UK , maybe 2 Million votes, however in a smaller country, the highest vote maybe 500,000, yet if they both get converted into 12 points, their vote is equal, that way no country gets an advantage, All the points get added on the scoreboard, together and in the end the country with the most points, wins! hope that helps What has been discussed in the UK forum however, as I've seen here, is I find it slightly unfair, because Kelly Clarkson has launched internationally, so she will have a greater fanbase who can vote for her, as you know you can't vote for your own country. OK, Now as representive of the UK, I've got to Big Up Will Young!! ;D He is doing amazingly well overhere at the moment, with his 2nd Album storming to No1, this week with nearly over 200,000 copies sold, Gareth Gates on the otherhand (the runner up) has waned and his single has limped in at No4, with a flop 2nd album. You can find out more about Will, at his official website Will Young Official"]http://www.willyoung.co.uk]Will Young Official and you can watch his new video directly here Will Young - Leave Right Now (TOTP)"]http://www.bbc.co.uk/totp/artists/y/young_will/video/will_young_leave_right_now_temp.ram]Will Young - Leave Right Now (TOTP)I've watched some of Guy's performance's on the OZ idol website, and have to say he's good! I'm glad he makes use of the stage (unlike our current Pop Idol 2 crop) Oh and if you want to come over to the UK forum, you are very welcome Digital Spy - Pop Idol"]http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/f/81/1c80a66c14557d6438d46a5a6dbfcb6eds.html]Digital Spy - Pop Idol Where there is a huge thread on World Idol. OK! cheers!

Heya thanks for that. The only time i get to watch Will is through TRL UK on MTV,
he sounds alot better now that he can produce songs that are his own, hopefully our Guy will be able to get teh chance to do that.
I'm actually amazed that Gareth being the more popular of the two isn't doing so well with his second album, are his fans outgrowing him or because his album simply sucked, what's the story?

Heya thanks for that. The only time i get to watch Will is through TRL UK on MTV, he sounds alot better now that he can produce songs that are his own, hopefully our Guy will be able to get teh chance to do that. I'm actually amazed that Gareth being the more popular of the two isn't doing so well with his second album, are his fans outgrowing him or because his album simply sucked, what's the story? Gareth was never more popular than Will, Simon Cowell just thought he would be, and totally misread the public. Will hated the singles from his 1st album because it totally didn't suit him, he took a year out of the spotlight to work on his 2nd album, meanwhile Gareth launched his 2nd album, and it bombed, His new singles only got to No3, and his new one No4 this week, I think the your point is exactly right, Gareth suited a very niche audience (the teenage girl) not only are they very disloyal, but they grow up. Whereas Will, has a much broader audience, older teenagers, to young adults, to anyone really, and a much more loyal fanbase too, from what I've seen, they won't outgrow Will. He relaunched with "Leave Right Now", because of the disappointment with Gareth, the shops under stocked, and couldn't cope with demand when 20,000 were sold in one day, at one point it looked like he'd miss out on the No1 spot, because it was sold out!! Anyway he made it, the following week (this week) he released his 2nd album, "Friday's child" where 40,000 sold in one day! People are actually talking about him now taking Robbie's crown as Favourite UK Male. I'd just like to ask? Do you guys find Will camp? I don't at all, but the Americans seemed to.

Well you're here, has Roxanne been signed to a record label? She's really cool. I really don't know there were rumours, I agree, her and Suzanne were the two best ones on Pop Idol 2, to be honest, I haven't got into it this year, I was much more impressed with Fame Academy 2 (the smaller BBC rival) and am a Big fan of Alex Parks the winner, she's someone you definitley wouldn't get on Pop Idol. I recommened her! www.alexparks.com

I can't understand WHY your going 4 Will Young.... The fact I'm British and voted for him, might have something to do with it, remember I can't vote for him, as you can't for Guy! I have watched all his performance's on the OZ Idol website, and thought he was good, just don't find his voice distinctive, but I have an open mind. Similar happened with Will his debut Single was the fastest Selling in UK history with 1.2 million sold in 1 week. Of course both Will and Guy are talented but I think you'll find that Guy will never get anywhere near the sales from now on , on his singles, its OZ Idol hype that has done it. Yes, otherwise it would be a little obvious who everyone would vote for! ;D

Gareth was never more popular than Will, Simon Cowell just thought he would be, and totally misread the public. But Gareth said it himself that he was bigger than the winner. Will hated the singles from his 1st album because it totally didn't suit him, I don't think Guy likes his 1st single either. but he has to keep singing it. He relaunched with "Leave Right Now", because of the disappointment with Gareth, the shops under stocked, and couldn't cope with demand when 20,000 were sold in one day, at one point it looked like he'd miss out on the No1 spot, because it was sold out!! Wow!! that's wicked, that at least proves he really is more popular than Gareth, is poor Gareth going to get the axe on his contract? Justin from US Idol got the chop because he couldn't sell. I'd just like to ask? Do you guys find Will camp? I don't at all, but the Americans seemed to. sorry but what do you mean by camp? bottom line is i think Will reminds me of Chris Martin, i think he could sing coldplay type of music, which is fantastic.

With 'camp' I think he's asking if you think Will is gay.
Haven't you heard the saying 'more camp than a row of tents.'
Well I wouldn't have a clue cause I don't know much about him, only found out about him a few weeks a go. Does it really matter if he is or not?
Anyway I'm looking forward to hearing everyone and especially Guy. I must admit I never really liked a 'Wonderful World' even though Guy does make it sound better - if that is what he is singing. climb every mountain would of been so much better - in my opinion anyway.

Lol, Will is gay, he came out after he won, it didn't affect his popularity one bit. What I mean by camp is, do you find his behavior and voice, flamboyant or feminine, I don't at all. He is very straight acting, and looking. He has a very soulful and jazzy voice, hence his new album, his influences include Nina Simone, his music is nothing like Coldplay's. The reason I asked, is that when he appeared on the American Idol final, the American messageboards hated him, saying he was camp, had a lisp, and wonky teeth . Will is such a nice genuinelly talented guy, and he really is a breathe of fresh air, in the plastic dominated charts in the UK, along with the FA 2 winner Alex Parks.

Gareth actually said that? how arrogant!! He wouldn't dream of saying that here. I suppose he didn't tell you about losing his virginity to the biggest slapper called Jordan (has had 4 boob ops)in Britain did he? ;D
