you are just the sweetest soul and clever too. the goddess is a straight shooter as well. i love you both for your intellect and the way you suffer fools gladly.. i'm terribly handicapped regarding suffering them . i try to remember when i was a bit like them myself. syrup i 've had a crack at you sticking to cosima and wish to take it back. perhaps it's your contributions that have finally made me more tolerent. oh but it's just so hard for me to hold back. as starvoter i changed tack and behaved myself. red rover has arrived no matter what. the marvellous guy will do us proud . he is another Farnham in the making.ps i don't think this i know it. i've always been gifted with prescience from a child. although friends are listening i am anonymous to most. yes i do have an axe to grind. i want the best for my country!

Sorry to break it to you buy Guy is not an idol!
His voice is like scratching your nails down a blackboard and his head looks like a smacked mullet!

Guys a great guy.....but do we wanna send a clone (of half a dozen singers I can think of) back overseas. I could listen to one song, but a whole Cd....where is the Panadol. I like my singers a bit more ballsy.

Be proud of who you are GUY and dont let them be something that you're not. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!! From a mum with music interest!!!!

I like both Shannon and Guy as our last two Idols. Shannon is good looking and has an appeal about him, he is enjoyable to watch, more so than listen to, but I'm afraid Guy's huge musical talent, intelligence and sweet persona win hands down. I feel that Guy is more versatile and he appears to be more articulate in his observations when being interviewed. I also love his style of music and while not as attractive as Shannon I find he has pleasant looks. Cosima...seemed nice, bit I'm glad she's gone , I wouldn't buy her cd's. Paulini should have been in the last 3... not Cosima.

err,, name them wake up. you get my vote for the most misguided comment i have seen yet and that's saying something. hey people have you checked out the shannon fan club on ai page or contestants i forget which.... boy, hormones at work. the one with 10 or so pages is it. good old 'gucci ' served up rationalism and was jumped on like a trampoline. they told him and others who disagreed to buzz off. i thought it was a free forum for all. i should have made this a thread. someone do it please. call it "prohibition"?

Guy is the one tho Shannon is definately easier on the eye. After Cozzie's performance, is it likely Australia will get the best man, or what the Moguls think is best spin?

Shannon is more instantly appealing and first impressions are lasting. Plus he's both very stereotypical Australian in the image a lot of overseas people imagine us to be. Does that mean we all look like Shannon? No of course not, we are multi-cultural but the classic Aussie image is still very much the Steve Irwin type guy, at least in the eyes of many Americans.
Guy takes longer to win you over. When he does his fan base is extremely loyal, so that would work in his favour, as long as the overseas markets would give him the time. Guy's style and look isn't unique in America so he wouldn't attract instant attention. Even our judges took a while to really get on board.
