i was absolutely disgusted in dickos comment sunday night towards paulini's dress choice and her figure. This world is already to superficial and television is a big part in this world. You should take a good look at your soul dicko before you open your mouth again cause its looking like an pretty ugly one. Everyone one on this planet is beautiful just the way they are big or small

Paulini is a very together girl and well aware of the cruelties of the entertainment industry, as it says in her biog on the official idol site:
"She has wondered whether the music industry’s obsession with image has slowed her progress in securing a record deal because she doesn’t fit the blonde, pretty, girlie image which she believes has become the industry standard. She thinks it’s easier to score a record deal if you “look good for the camera!” and so she was genuinely surprised to have made it through to the finals."
So I'm not so worried about her state of mind from Dicko's comments. My only thought is for all those teenagers out there who have now resolved to stop eating because of what Dicko said. People like the judges on Australian Idol are in a position to begin to change the entertainment industry's obsession with skinny women - so it would be a wonderful thing if they focussed purely on the contestants' talent, not the shape of their hips.
Peter (now eliminated) was also told by Dicko to lose weight, but I believe those comments were made to Peter off camera - it would have been nice if Paulini had been shown the same consideration.

Oh, get over it !
If someone dresses to provoke, will eventually get the reaction !
If someone wants to keep the attention to her voice, should think more about what she puts on her ass.
Paulini looked terrible, cheaply provoking in that horrible dress ! Maybe Whitney Huston can squeeze her tiny body, with her non existent ass in that outfit, but, Paulini - that was eye popping, but in a negative sense.
Why is everyone upset about Dicko's comment, why is no one upset by the terrible outfit Paulini wore on Sunday.
I was appalled!
And I think she has attitude problem, trying to cover all her insecurities.
We don't need that in AI.
Vote for Guy !

Yeah, Cosima didnt get a bad reaction for wearing ANY dresses, so that means that you have no idea about fashion (when no one has any problem about it except you, then the problem is with you). If you think Paulini has beautiful body, possibly :
A) You are fatso yourself B) You have been hiding in a cave all these years
Accept that she won't win AI.

she shouldn't have squeezed into a skin tight gold dresses with a racing stripe down the front.
I don't actually see paulini as fat, she's just too curvy to pull that off... and that is exactly what dicko said.

I don't think Paulini has a "fat" body, it's just average like most of the population but she just didn't chose a dress that flattered her body on Sunday.
Firstly, every female would know that a shiny dress will always make people appear fatter and less balanced than they normally do especially if it's a tight. Secondly, dresses that are scrunched up in the centre and reveal flesh at the wrong places is a fashion disaster as it will create the illusion that you are rounder than you are. No one can pull off an ugly dress like that, and Cosima is no exception, the only ones who can pull it off have a supermodel body so that people become so busy looking at their bodies than at the horrible dress choice.
Tara, you asked if Cosima was ever criticised for her dress sense, I actually recall a number of comments in regards to her big thighs as she wore her short mini in hot stuff, the shocking "Lampshade" dress and retro hairdo last week as well as her strange heavy chain over the singlet look. I completely agree with the lampshade comments - that was dreadful! Another fashion disaster!

Yeah, that dress of Cosima's last week was a bit like a lampshade..either that or I thought she was going to do the Charlston. I didn't even notice the song she did that night. I was on edge waiting for her to take a tumble in those ridiculous high heels. I do remember that Mark thought the same thing and said it to her. Her teetering in the shoes distracted me greatly.

Hey gals, you are not informed. Firstly, the red "lampshade" dress Cosima wore the other night was exactly the same dress from the Tina Turner Movie (the song was TTs -What's love got to do with it), but in the movie it was blue color. The acress (what was her name Bizzet or something) who was Tina T. in the movie was wearing that lampshade dress with the same dizzy high heals shoes, and yes, Cosima tried to look retro as the song was retro! So, what's your problem.
I actually would say that all the contestants are horribly dressed, not just Cosima or Paulini (but she was real catastrophy). And I say who pays those stylists/designers? They have no clue whatsoever! And I say ALL the contestans can look much better if a real stylist worked with them. And Sharesse, don't call Cosima whore, because the only one who really looked cheap as a whore was Paulini in that gold!

Actually, the dress that Paulini wore is a Dolce and Gabbana dress so it wasn't a cheap look. I thought she looked great. The song she sang was a Destiny's Child song and Beyonce with her curves and enormous thighs waltzes around in very skimpy outfits and still looks great. So the dress was really appropriate for the song. I think if Dicko felt he had to say something it should have been off camera. You don't say something like that to someone on national television. Whether you like the dress or not is a matter of personal taste. I think that whole situation has actually won her more support.

Well, I might think that Naomi Cambell would look good in that golden dress. So, Paulini has ruined D&G creation. She looked like an elephant in a swimsuit. Yes, she won sympathy votes.

To be honest with you girls what she was wearing might not have looked good on her, but do you really think she had a choice. For the simple fact that the fashion designer put her in it. As they dress all the young idols as well as judges. Besides you really wouldn't ever see Dicko saying "shed a few pounds" to lead singer of Destinys Child would you. Her body became an icon for girls. Basically he sat there and ripped of Marcia she wasn't a skinny stick when she became an Australian. It just shows how artificia Australia is. Considering back in the 1920's and 1930's it was fashionable for women to be big as it ment they had money to fed themselves. Where as now a days there all starving themselves to look like Kylie and Christina. Paulini is beautiful in every way possible she gift from god and she wants to share with Australia. We all should feel very lucky. Girl I love you and always be proud of where you have come from. Rock on Sister Paulini is a very together girl and well aware of the cruelties of the entertainment industry, as it says in her biog on the official idol site: "She has wondered whether the music industry’s obsession with image has slowed her progress in securing a record deal because she doesn’t fit the blonde, pretty, girlie image which she believes has become the industry standard. Peter (now eliminated) was also told by Dicko to lose weight, but I believe those comments were made to Peter off camera - it would have been nice if Paulini had been shown the same consideration.

Yes, she is a nice looking girl. And she shoudn't have accepted that slut outfit. She should have stayed herself, and everyone would have loved her. Ok?
