Watched The Panel last night to see Mark and Marcia sing. It was the final episode for the year and Tom Gleisner said they had been trying to get the two Idol judges on as guest performers for ages. They sang a truncated version of 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart' with John Foreman on piano and some guy playing bongos.
Actually it was pretty good. Marcia, of course, was fabulous but (perhaps surprisingly) Holds sang well too. Unfortunately the backing vocals provided by Foreman and bongo-dude were way out of tune.
The best part was at the end of the show, when Glenn Robbins said he was going to do a song for the big finale. He started singing (and I use that term VERY loosely) 'Never Gonna Fall in Love Again' and then Mark wandered on, handed Glenn a red carnation and joined in singing. It was very funny indeed.
Anyone else see it?
