Hi Mod,
Just want to say that you have a great board here and I think everyone enjoys it.
I have one quick question.....mainly because I'm curious ;D
Are you planning any major changes to the board? ie. new smilies, new color etc etc
BTW, I love this board and I don't mind if it stays the same. I was just curious as to whether any changes were going to occur in the future.
Cheers

I have a suggestion. You should make it so unregistered guests like me can't post. It would reduce the amount of offensive posts. and it would stop certain "guests" posting under different aliases and writing offensive and rude comments about the contestants.

Actually there is one suggestion I would like to make....can you change the membership status name? I mean the "junior member", "god" etc etc.
I was thinking of having some more" status" names above "god" status. eg. pee-wee god, big god etc etc (we can even have a vote to see what kind of status names people like).
Cheers

Hi Mod,
Can you just confirm again whether it is possible to change the status names of members (ie. god, senior member etc etc) and whether you can change the number of post needed to attain each status.
Thanks

Genotype, I'm an admin for another proboard, so I can answer this for you . You can change both the number of posts required and the status reached at each set number of posts, but the kicker is that there are only 5 statuses (stati?) that can be used and of those you can only set the post count for 4 of them (the first status is always reached at 0, go figure ). After the maximum status has been reached, it's still possible to have extra statuses, but it means lots more work for the admin, because they have to change the status manually for each person (ie have to keep an eye on everyone's post count, then go into the profile and change it, etc). So you can have 0 posts - Godlet 500 posts - Semigod 1000 posts - God 2000 posts - Big sumo god 3000 posts - Indestructable god of DOOM But after 3000 posts, the admin has to create extra groups, then change people's profiles as they reach the designated post count. It's the way proboards works- at least until Version 4 comes out! Did that make any sense whatsoever? And (blatant plug alert!) check out my proboard guyforum.proboards26.com for something that's been through the customising machine . It's pretty much a dead board, so don't bother posting or registering, but you'll see that I've changed the member statuses and added extra smilies (<-- the extra smilies are a javascript hack though, so they're not the best option... until proboards v4 comes out).

Thanks superc!!! Mod, do you mind making changes to the status names? Or maybe increasing the amount of post needed to change the status? Currently there are too many Gods and it might be fun to create some fun and exciting new status names. What do yout think? If you don't mind changing then I will post a poll on the Member's Board and get some ideas. Cheers Genotype
