SHANNON: Disappointed. Such a good song, should have suited him perfectly, but he was dull. Didn't look very enthusiastic about it at all, and the band was too loud at times to hear his voice. Needs to learn how to move; Dicko was spot-on with the comment about him looking like he was moving through a deli line.
PAULINI: Absolutely gorgeous, brilliant, flawless voice, and the most energetic performance we've seen from her so far. The girl rocks, but there's still something about her that's not completely there. Can't explain it, she just seems to be missing the x-factor.
LEVI: I was anxious about his rapping, but he pulled it off admirably, and did anyone else notice him strugglng to get his jacket off one arm? How cute! A few notes were flat (as Dicko pointed out), but still, he did a great job and really knows how to work the crowd. His performance should definitely be enough to get him through to next week (r&b night!) - unforunately, he's going to have to compete with Millsy and Shannon's fan base.
COSIMA: Proved to me exactly why I was feeling so dubious about her song choice. Bland song to begin with, and unfortunately, she did nothing to spice it up or make it even slightly more edgy. Her voice wasn't at the top of its game tonight either, which was disappointing. But, she's proved her talent in the past and based on that alone, deserves to stay.
MILLSY: Get him out. Out, out, out. He's wrecked one of my favourite songs of all time. Showed us exactly why he's been hiding behind energetic performances all this time - because he doesn't have the voice to carry a song alone without the aid of performance. Don't find him attractive either - what was with the foundation and eyeliner tonight? Ugh. Praying his fan base fails him this week.
GUY: Would love to see him win this competition. Talented, original, funky, genuine, and in Marcia's voice, heaven-sent voice. Really enjoyed his performance tonight. He funked it up to the max - almost had a bit of an accident with the mike at the end there, but besides that, practically faultless.

LEVI IS MY FAVE TOO!
But I also love Guy, and based on talent, I want Guy to win. I want Levi to go far enough so that he gets enough exposure to move onto bigger and better things.
My votes this week are alllll going to Levi because he's the one who's going to have to compete with Millsy's fan base. And if he misses out on r&b night next week, I'll scream... and possibly cry.

And THAT, Pinkline, is YOUR opinion... which I will respect. Have the same courtesy towards me.

Kayti,
I'm sorry but I cannot RESPECT opinions that are obviously devoid of fact.

Levi's going to need plenty of votes, good or bad performance. It's going to take something massive to get rid of Millsy, whether we like it or not.
Why cant they change the voting to 'sms millsy' to get rid of millsy etc, rather than vote for your favourite.
Makes it easier to get rid of Millsy, and any other junk you want to get rid off.

It was all a bit dull tonight.
Sentimental Cosima is better than Sexed-Up Cosima.
Shannon really put himself in danger. Just the wrong songs since "What About Me?" If he had done something like "Working Class Man" these last two weeks he would be in a much safer place.
Rob must really be full of himself if he were to refer to himself as "spot-on"- it's just so arrogant. Completely wrapped in himself and his own following and I hope that is his downfall. What annoys me the most is that he thinks he deserves there more than others, which is why he worked so hard to survive tonight.
Paulini does everything right. But that could be her problem. It's all a bit too neat. I agree that she has to show something more.
Guy improved tonight, a bit awkward, but starting to show some attitude (if a bit deliberately). But he needs more of that killer instinct to win. Has potential to grow though, like Paulini.
Levi moves well and has rhythm but his voice is his weakness. Can't really grow much, though. I can't see him singing a hit ballad, for instance.

This would have to have been one of the worst nights so far. I was really diappointed. Shannon: Shannon's singing was so off pitch it was ridiculous! Surely by now he could learn to sing in the right key?! The audience got right into it, but they were obviously more into the song than the way it was delivered. I had visions of Lauren-stand-there-like-you're-constipated Buckley for most of it as well. Very wooden and very poor. Paulini: Of all the songs Paulini could have chosen from that decade, she had to choose arguably Aretha's worst song ever. Yeah Paulini sounded pretty floorless but it didn's showcase her voice the way "Chains" did last week. Paulini's definitely got more range than anyone else, but not more power. Her upper register sounded a little thin tonight. Being a nit-picky bastard aside, Paulini was probably the best of the night. Levi: The only time I've enjoyed Levi was when he sang "Superstition", but since then I've been totally *over* him. Talk about not giving a shit about singing the song, he put way too much emphasis on getting the teeny bopper vote ("Oh he's so cute!" - blarrrgh). Bobby Brown's a crap singer anyway, but Levi made that song sound all the more shitter. Somehow I don't think he's going anywhere though. Cosima: What can I say? I love Cosima! You could really hear that her voice wasn't on tonight. Idol is a pretty gruelling competition when you think about it. But I have to say that Cosima made the most of what she had, and it was good to see her do a more restrained performance. I'm feeling a bit sorry for her reading all the comments like "she's not sexy" and shit like that. She's genuine, I like her. Leave her alone I just rewatched this performance and the bridge is wonderful! Cosima gets my vote as joint "best of the night" along with Paulini. Millsy: What a mediocre, flaccid, IMPOTENT performance he put on tonight. Rob *really* does not deserve to still be here at this point of the competition. Dicko was totally right. Uggh. He'll still go on to win and prove what a bad idea it is to give teenage girls mobile phones. Guy: Guy, Guy, Guy... MUST you riff constantly? Just sing the damn song. I won't even comment on the way he was dressed... Uggh. I thought the performance was *ok*, but it was modelled far to much on the version done for Romeo and Juliet rather than the 80's version that Guy was meant to be doing. Like Rob, I found this pretty flaccid. Basically I could listen to the girls all day long, and I could take or leave the guys (in mosts cases, leave). Fingers crossed that Cosima and Paulini are safe tomorrow.

Yes, Paulini is a brilliant singer, I doubt anyone would argue with that. Cosima gets better everytime she picks up a mike.. But what the hell are talking about when it comes to guy ? He has more musical and vocal "talent" than any one on the show! Sure he doesn't do the pre programmed record company "shit" just to please, but you very rarely come across a voice like his.. It cannot be learnt or taught, you can either sing like that or you cannot.. Everyone else on the show who can sing or sings with power and precision still has a voice that is not paricularily special.Guy stands alone in his lonely void of unbelieveable ability..
It is a shame more people do not see the genius that he is.. And have you not yet figured out that it isn't an accident he goes last every time he sings on every show?? Why ?? I will let you figure it out..
By the way please dont take these comments as attacks on your personal taste, every one to themselves, I just wanted to give you a different angle...

In the Biz (God help you if you are!) you have a point about Guy. He has a unique, rare voice. But it's what he does with it that is the question. But in terms of a recording voice, I think his voice is the most interesting and something you can do the most with in terms of experimentation and a unique, different sound.

Come on, Guy- Millsy? Levi?
To say everyone's voice is special is all a bit Kumbaya and Guy really should recognise his superior voice and not let himself be overshadowed by the desperate antics of someone like Rob with his flash and his weak voice.
