There weren't too many surprises last night with the judges' favourites going through. MARY probably still disagrees but she doesn't really have admittedly what it takes to be an idol.
BRANDON did okay but his problem according to Marcia is that he rolls around on the floor in hysterics whenever he has to sing the word "pain". I think this is quite unique but Marcia begs to differ.
LAUREN was always going to go through although her type of singing effort with "Imagine" you'll find on offer at any decent karaoke. Obviously the guys don't read this website or fail to heed advice - Lauren once again sung about her imaginary friend BURT i.e. "Burt I'm no the only one". I'd like to learn more about Burt - is she referring to Ernie's friend from Sesame Street? - its possible - maybe she'll reveal this when the Melbourne Truth interviews her. And I don't know which primary school she attended but lovey its DREAMER not DREAMA - that is simply atrocious diction. However she's apparently destined for megastardom - who knows.
CLE - I know I was hard on her in my review yesterday but I'm now glad she got through - last night's performance was 70% better than the previous night's - she sang well. So my apologies to her.
MR HIP HOP LEVI was back wearing the swimming cap last night but was really dog paddling against the first two.
So in terms of trying to advance people with potential to be an idol then it was a fair result.
But I'd say to all the others - don't give in just yet - if Amity Dry can get a record contract then ANYONE should be able to. I don't know about "The Light House" but its certainly something "House".
