I don't find that he tries to act cool. He's sweet, natural, very smiley. *shrug*

WOW, how come so many of you like Mary so much, in my opinion she was worse than Michelle Cle and Lauren were excellent choices, I've loved them both from the start, Laurens performance was nothing short of beautiful

LOL - Lauren's performance was VERY short of "beautiful" - if you thought that coma-inducing rendition was really good then you are too easily pleased. And noone's told me who BURT is yet.

From cheyehill on official yahoo board
The judges set the tone for the night
I switched on the TV tonight as I have quite eagerly over the last 6 weeks or so , eagerly anticipating the exciting talent that has been on display, in addition I have enjoyed the roles Dicko, Mark and Marcia have played. Mark the quintessential Jekyll and Hyde figure. Dicko The evil villain and Marcia the always comforting mother type.
Roll Credits for tonight's.... show (I use the term loosely) and what do we see. Camera pans to our judges, Three.... adults (i once again use the term loosely) that look like spoiled brats that have just gotten into trouble of the principal (aka head of channel 10).
Dicko lets us know from the start he's out for blood, hey whats new, Mark mentions the same old "Raise the bar" spiel but hey everything's gonna be hunky dory coz good old Mother Marcia will be there ever so comforting, but what the? Who is this woman with the scowl resembling the wicked witch of the west, talking about also "raising the bar". Oh no Marcia have they gotten to you now, I cried. I fearfully watch the first contestant gingerly make her way to Stage central, I could see the knives come out before a word was even sung. The next 50 minutes of viewing made for cringe worthy viewing. The judges proceeded to not only dig the knives in to all and sundry, but dig and twist the knives in for their own conceited sense of amusement.
Mark Holden's ability to launch almost scathing personal attacks on the contestants are the standout moments of the night, considering that this is decided BY POPULAR VOTE, is it worthwhile stating " I wouldn't have paid 10 bucks for that performance"? Surely individuals as experienced as our three "judges" do not need to boost their ego any further by rubbing salt into an already gaping wound.
If you were a contestant tonight, I would not be shaken into giving up your dream & even the best of performers would of faultered working under those conditions, I hope Dicko, Marcia and Mark take away with them a lesson even more valuable than the contestants learned tonight, that you only perfrom as good as the environment allows yo to, Well tonight the judges should thank themselves and only themselves for the below par efforts we saw tonight.
