SHOWBIZ:
Pair separate
KYM Johnson, from Dancing with the Stars, and cricketer Shane Watson have reportedly hit splitsville.
Watson is on tour with the Aussie squad in England while Johnson remains in Sydney.
For he's a Jolie good fellow
ALL Hollywood thinks it - she denies it. But, judging from the body language of Angelina Jolie, you might be excused for thinking she's not being entirely open about her feelings for Brad Pitt.
The leather-clad Jolie appeared to be eyeing up a newly bleached blond Brad Pitt with something more than mere affection at the premiere of their new movie, Mr and Mrs Smith, in Los Angles yesterday.
The pair have constantly denied suggestions that Jolie was the reason Pitt separated from wife Jennifer Aniston.
Jolie, 29, was recently quoted as saying she "thinks the world" of Pitt, but has never slept with him. She said: "To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive."
Idol judge's Aussie lips
PAULA Abdul is the latest fan of Aussie makeup brand Napoleon Perdis, spending big at the Napoleon counter at Saks Fifth Ave in Beverly Hills.
The American Idol judge reportedly walked away $580 lighter.
Other US celebrity fans of the range include Paris Hilton and Debra Messing.
Crikey bar cleared for munching
GOOD news, the Crikey chocolate bar is finally on the market, but it was close there for a while. Steve Irwin had already given his approval to another rival chocolate bar called Crikey and alerted Vernon Stuber, instigator of his own Crikey snack, (try to stay with us) of this fact via a recent surly letter.
Blah, blah, blah, the pair have "negotiated a solution" and Stuber's Crikey is in the shops. "Steve can stick to his crocodile hunting, and I'll stick to making chocolates," a triumphant Stauber said.
Building repairs
THE wreckers at the Melbourne Showgrounds have being going gangbusters, just about knocking over every building on the site.
But in their wrecking ball haste it seems they knocked a hole into a building that was not earmarked for demolition.
Bricklayers yesterday were making good the damage.

MOVIES:
Fruits of a film crew's labour
THE cast and crew of an eagerly awaited new Australian movie have returned to its "local watering hole" - a pub in the Adelaide Hills. Peaches is released in cinemas today and, yesterday, (Confidential) captured five of the film's team at the Stirling Hotel, which was the local pub in the film.
Peaches is the coming of age story of a young girl which stars Hugo Weaving, Jacqueline McKenzie and Emma Lung. It was shot in Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills and the Riverland.
Catherine Lambert, who plays the character Kath, says South Australia is a perfect place to shoot a movie because of its diversity.
"In SA, we have mountains, we have deserts, we have cities and suburbs," she says.
The director of photography for Peaches, Ernie Clark, who has 34 years of cinematography experience, says SA has plenty of movie talent. It is the first film from Adelaide-based director Craig Monahan since he made The Interview in 1998.
It's a wrap for Bollywood
THE first Bollywood film to be made in Melbourne, starring former Who Dares Wins host Tania Zaetta, has wrapped.
Two former Adelaide dancers - Laura Brougham and Jessica Durski - had small parts in the $2.5 million film Salaam Namaste. The film was directed by Yash Chopra, widely-acclaimed in India.

TELEVISION:
Princess cattle call
SEEMS one Mary Donaldson could be responsible for an unprecedented number of potential princesses applying for Ten's new reality show Australian Princess.
Since putting the call out for wannabe Marys four weeks ago, Ten got applications from more than 2750 - about 100 per day.
Casting has begun with producers seeing all from a uni student studying biotechnology who never owned makeup to ex-ballerinas, fashion designers, prison warders and single mums.
We hear one hopeful even had the word Princess tattooed on her back to try to convince producers she was the real deal. Scary.
Rachael riddle
RUMOURS that Rachael from Big Brother had been working in Melbourne strip joint the Men's Gallery are off the mark, according to an employee.
The woman swears that Rachael has never worked there.
Management at the venue could not comment either way.
Nine's musical chairs continues
Changes at Channel 9 continue in the wake of last month's resignation of David Gyngell from the network's top job.
Tony Ritchie has taken over as executive producer of Nine's 6pm Sydney news bulletin while former executive producer Anthony Flannery has been moved to the Today show.
That means Today show EP Jebby Phillips is moving back to Mornings with Kerri-Anne.
Holly follows old friend's footsteps
ADELAIDE-BORN actress Holly Brisley can't stop bumping into Bec Cartwright, and her, er, bump.
The pair used to brush up on their acting skills together at On Camera in Sydney.
Then, Holly followed in Bec's fancy footsteps in Dancing With The Stars - Bec won the first season, Holly was pipped at the post by "man of the moment" Tom Williams in the second. (Holly's dance partner, Mark Hodge, was also from Adelaide.)
Now, Holly is following Bec's path again by being signed on as a regular on Home and Away as new resident vixen "Amanda Vale". She hits our screens on June 30.
"I think playing a vixen is a lot nicer than being a bitch," Holly says.
The Channel 7 soapie sure knows how to recycle its actors - Holly has popped up before in a bit part as a date of "Vinnie", played by Ryan Kwanten (now in US television series Summerland).
So, will Holly now also follow Bec's ill-fated pop career? "I think I'll leave (pop singing) to everyone else," she laughs.

MUSIC:
Guy's Angel takes off in US
GUY Sebastian's hit song Angels Brought Me Here is getting attention from US fans since American Idol winner Carrie Underwood sang it during the finale.
Carrie's version was to appear as the B-side to her first release, Inside Your Heaven, but was then dropped.
American Idol chat rooms are flooded with chitter-chatter about Guy and his song.
Though it's perhaps surprising to some, Americans seem to be quite familiar with Guy since he performed the song on American Idol last year.
"Carrie's version was good, but Guy's version is amazing," one fan said.
Odds good for Aussie Rock Star
THERE might only be one Aussie in the race to become the new lead singer of INXS on reality series Rock Star, but Miguel Ayesa isn't faring too badly in the odds.
Centrebet have the lone Aussie at 10-1 - the eighth favourite of the 15 finalists. The favourite is Wil Seabrook from California at 6-1.
