Stars' day of giving

ONE of the grand traditions of the Good Friday Appeal is all the famous faces who give their time on the day.
Nikki Webster was one of the most popular celebrities yesterday, both at the hospital and at the tally room at Telstra Dome. The 17-year-old said the experience of visiting the hospital was something she treasured.
"It was wonderful," she said. "It's the most rewarding thing for a lot of performers that thanks to our profile we're able to go and help people and make them smile and forget their worries for a while.
"You just feel so lucky and thank everyone for what you've got."
Webster and Dancing With The Stars partner Sasha Farber, along with Tom Williams and Kym Johnson, put on a show as well yesterday.
The Great Outdoors host Laura Csortan agreed with Webster.
"I spent this morning at the hospital and you couldn't go there and not be completely affected," she said. "These kids have so much courage and you really learn things from them, like not to worry about the smaller things."
Australian music's flavour of the month, Anthony Callea, was mobbed after performing on the MIX FM stage outside Telstra Dome.
Callea sang Bridge Over Troubled Water and Rain, No 1 on our charts.
Cosima De Vito also performed and a number of AFL footballers, including Carlton's Brendan Fevola, Jordan Bannister and David Teague gave their time.
Other Channel 7 names including Molly Meldrum, Ian Dickson, Jason Smith, Nicky Whelan and Renee Henderson were also in the tally room yesterday and last night.
All the celebrities, crew and staff associated with the tally room telecast donated their time.
