Axle makes the cut
Television presenter Axle Whitehead will face up to the bald facts of doing something for charity

TAKE one final look at Video Hits presenter Axle Whitehead, because next time you see him he will be sans locks.
The presenter/musician/model/actor is shaving his beautifully maintained hair for charity on Wednesday and it will be aired live on Good Morning Australia.
But that's only the beginning of a very busy year for Whitehead.
The former Australian Idol-er has his fingers in so many pies, we're wondering how on earth he finds time to get everything done. He has just landed a gig with TV Hits magazine, where he will write monthly for the mag's new Video Hits liftout.
Whitehead's pages will include music industry goss and reports on interviews.
But it's his first love -- jazz -- that really gets the 23-year-old presenter talking.
Whitehead is looking to the possibility of his duet (of sorts) with Joel Turner, Scatbox, being released as a single.
Whitehead is passionate about getting his brand of music to the public and plans to do it with old mate and artist Timothy Neate.
The pair are working on a performance art project, where art lovers could watch Neate paint as he is influenced by Axle's live music in a gallery setting.
Buyers could then take home the artwork and the recording of Axle's music.
Ferrying regularly between Sydney (where he lives) and Melbourne (where his jazz gigs are regularly played) also has an added bonus for Whitehead.
He has found a serious girlfriend, and he's not shy about it either.
"It's lovely. I'm a very lucky man," Whitehead said.
"It's been about four months now and I'm totally into it."
We hear the lucky girl, Katrina Peden, works in natural medicine and dabbles in modelling.
