Australia loves Idol even more

Fears that Australia was all Idol-ed out were put to rest last week as Australian Idol 2 debuted to higher figures than the first series.
According to the latest Oztam survey, both episodes of the Channel Ten talent search scored more than 1.7 million viewers each.
Last week also saw a rise in popularity overall for the reality genre. Big Brother scored two entries in the top 20, whilst The Block rose to over 1.7 million viewers.
The national top TV 20 shows were:
