Pleased to see that you have downgraded your adjectives from "sinister" to "strange". I never said it was sinister

I never said it was sinister You're right! Sorry I misread your and Maddyn's comments and muddled them up. I guess it was the fact that you were in at least partial agreeance with PaulJ who used words like "frightening", "nightmare", "stench" and "manipulation" that set me to conclude that it was your word. After all you did say,"... I agree it is a bit scary. Almost brainwashing their congregation...." I'll rephrase that - from "scary" to "strange". It's funny you know. I told my 18 year old daughter your comment of "scary" and PaulJ's "frightening". She looked at me in partial shock, partial puzzlement and asked, "of what?" She was thinking that if you think she and her friends (between them they attend three different churches, one of them AOG) are scary, you should see the other teenagers out there. And it's true. Her friends are very, very well behaved teenagers as teenagers go. If churches like Hillsong/Paradise produce people like Guy, Paulini, and BO (our Beautifulfriend) then we need more of them, not less.

Hillsong music and cd's sell worldwide, very very popular in the U.S. Yes I was reading that the other day. I noticed that on a US praise and worship album there were some Hillsong songs. But US sales don't appear on the ARIA charts - only Australian sales, and only those from ARIA listed stores too. Mesh1969 are you from the States? Welcome to our boards. There really should be a handshake smilie. There isn't so I'll have to give you a smile smilie instead .

Hi maybenext thanks for your welcome, No I'm an aussie , I am also prone to be a lurker!!! For those who don't see the point for hillsong to make cd's (although you will find a lot of churches make there own cd's) I belong to a small church that has just started and we don't have any muso's. Music is a very important part in praise and worship so we use hillsong and other churches cd's during our services. My brother and his wife live in south africa (to work with people with aids) and there church use hillsong cd's as well.
