Welcome to GIHS Idol which hits the stage today and continues on Thursday and Friday. Students and teachers are putting it all on the line for a moment of glory in the finals to be held at the school on Wednesday of next week. Contestants will perform songs and a panel of teachers will judge their efforts. Money is being raised to assist the Telstra Childflight Service by gold coin entry each day. Liz Elphick, Emma Davy and Rheanne Kiehne have worked hard to stage the event which will be held during lunchtime with the finals to be performed during school assembly. "We took the idea from Australian Idol, and the response from students and teachers has been great,” Liz Elphick said.
