Idol singer to thank Condobolin Wednesday, 21 April 2004 The population of Condobolin, on the NSW central western slopes, is expected to swell by as much as 20,000 when the town hosts Shannon Noll's Anzac Day charity concert. The concert, which is a thank-you to the Australian Idol singer's home town, is being seen as an opportunity to promote the shire. Community groups will be providing the manpower needed to accommodate the large crowd at Condobolin's Junior League Oval, and will benefit from the money raised. The town's amenities are being stretched to the limit for the crowd, with local organisers asking residents to consider billeting visitors. www.abc.net.au/westernplains/news/200404/s1091691.htm

aussie slayer posted: This was from the WA paper (about the logies)
The too-drunk-too-early award went to Australian Idol hosts James Matheson and Andrew G. Andrew G broke his hand badly while snowboarding in Canada recently and is in the midst of a series of operations. "I've got more surgery on Tuesday - I get plates" he said. "I'm on an excellent mix of prescription pain killers and alcohol. It's quite a way to look at all these flashing lightbulbs."
Meanwhile, Idol winner Guy sebastian jets off today to record his new album. "It'll be me. The first album I had five and a half days to do. It'll be cool to have a bit more time." he said.
Sebastian, who flies to Los Angeles, followed by London, stockhol and Copenhagen, to record the album, is working with some of the biggest names in music such as Brian McKnight and Cathy Dennis, who has written for kylie Minogue and Britney Spears.
He attended the Logies with girlfriend Jules Egan - the first event they have attended together. But never fear - Guy confirmed he is still a virgin.
