Karen- Hi I actually auditioned for Australian idol and loved every minute of it except for the way the judges disrespected talented young people. By saying stupid comments like your too fat when really she was a size 12, and passing judgement on the color of the shoes he was wearing when now the audtioner is releasing an album and in the making. I felt that all though it is a tv show and I understand when they bag people who are terrible but for ones who actually have it and they critisise rather then say yes you have talent but not what we want on this show. Because you wouldn't want us to own you. I just think they need to keep it real because the talent i saw at melbourne audtions were absolutely outstanding and blue me away. They thought i was a ray of sunshine and almost put me through but I wasnt what they wanted. Which i respected but i didnt respect the way some of my other friends who i made during the auditions were treated apauling just for ratings.. come on p ick up the act.. regards DIVA

Sup Folks!
Well both me and my lil' bro auditioned for Idol in Melbourne, and both got to get judged by the trio, we didn't make it in to sydney, but just the thought of making it in melbourne's finest (so i thought!!!) was good enough for me. Well, I really didn't think they like my bro, coz he played a prank on lil' thingy...lol i meant thingyo, by sparking him with a shock pen, wasnt impressed..... What da flippin heck happened on sunday?? The audition I sat for was for being an Australian Idol, the show I saw on sunday should of been named funniest home videos...lol...no seriously, because what we saw on national television, was the quickest way to make someone laugh, now what wasnt funny, were the comments made by judges in regards to these auditions, just becoz they were big, small, tall, short, fat, skinny....well u get my drift, all I kept hearing was "Australia is gonna love you", what honestly would they know? Maybe the next Alicia Keys was in there, but they couldn't see past the fact that the chosen song was thrashed through numerous auditions.. that hearing it again, was only boring them further. Or the next bee gees group, speaking of bee gees, they made my mate (big john, wearing that red checkered shirt) feel like a complete let down, if it was so bad, why the hell did the producers let him through? So that he can walk down the street and be mocked until the Idol fever dies down? or will it die down, the guy is Samoan, it isnt the biggest population I tell you that much, word does spread....If thingyo said I had "disgraced my family", I tell no word of a lie, he definetly would of not made it to Sydney himself... and another friend of mine, the somalian refugee whom I met at the second audition, the praise him for his efforts, then show a preview of the next week, mocking him....cos he cant speak like the rest of them? I understand they have certain goals to achieve, why did they not ask him in melbourne auditions to sing an english song? or did he? Well, the end of the day, the old saying still stands, despite all the controversy, "the show must go on"....

Some of the people who auditioned just shouldn't have. They were terrible then got all upset and burst into tears because they were told so. One person sounded like a cat being strangled then when they got rejected asked why. Get a clue! Some people can sing and some people can't - grow up and deal with it. I wanted to slap the sixteen year old prima donna who came out and cried to her mum. Some people seem to think that they deserve to have life handed to them on a silver platter without requiring any talent, good looks or hard work. I agree with Mark Holden, some contestants were delusional. Take responsibility for your own actions instead of blaming the mean judges. I have much more respect for those people who came out with their heads held high and said "oh well, I wasn't good enough" instead of the cry babies that try to blame someone else for their lack of talent.

I really love watching people Audition,It is setting new standards in Enertainment ;DSome times you laugh and some times you cry, but most of all what people get out of this sort of entertainment is a standard which is what the judges are trying to get out to the public, Great artists in music to listen to. This is essential for other artists in realizing the standard that they are at and that in turn they can learn to better themselves. I myself would like to hear originals from some of these talented peoples cause there has to be more talented people holding back good songs that the world just might get to hear one day or not. :-/The show just gotta go on and this will draw more talented people into a show that has already got me hooked thank's for the great show australian idol .Hope to see you one day soon.
