Bek Gig in Melbourne last nite

my night started at like quarter to 10... we got there.. had trouble with parking.. just quietly.. i aint never going to try doing reverse parking on chapel st(eventho i wasn't on chapel it was close enuf) BUT!! my sister and i got there... got in... club was nearly empty... half full maybe... i couldn't drink coz i was driving.. and my sister didn't wanna drink alone.. couple of our friends were coming later.. so we stook around for a while.. and then we decided to dance... what the hell.. 3 hours later...
very sore feet... quite tired... i was ready to go home...

BUT bek was taking her own sweet time.. the security guards were like.. "she's doing her make-up now.." lmao... who cares bout the make up..
every 5 mins or so.. the dj would go "and tonight we have live Rebekah Lavauney, from the top 12 of the Australian Idol" something like that... i was like.. "heeeheee" anyway.. i was lookin round..
there were some bookah (ie, Bek) fans... pple asking when she's coming on and stuff... AND THEN!! security starts comin on stage... and i see someone walking down the stairs from upstairs.. wearing the top
she wore in brissie!! the one pau wore at idol concert.. and jeans..

and i'm like OH MY GOSH!! boookah's here!!! i got mighty excited!! it was pretty late and it soo hectic.. taking photos.. and watching and cheering..... she came on stage and she was like "i've got a set of 3 songs to sing tonight and i would like to dedicate it to craig (craig was one of the security guards and it was his birthday tonight.. how sweeet is the boookah?? lol...) anyway she also dedicated it to someone else.. i can't remember.. she said he brought her down to melbourne.. and i THANK YOU TOO!! anyway..

she goes.. "i luv melbourne.. it's the best city in australia" and i'm just like.. "gurllll... what u trippin on" lol... she was like "even tho i'm still stuck in sydney" or something like that... i dunno if she used stuck.. but something similar to that...
eeeek!! i've got the worst memory. anyway.. she sang 3 covers.. i can't remeber the names of most of em.. one was talia-into you... and she sang it BOOOOOO-TIFULLLY!!! it was wicked to hear her sing
again... i was RIIIIIIIGHT at the front.. literally if i stretched my hands out i would have touched her feet... also i was so close i had to lift my head up to see her.. and take photos.. so i didn't end
up getting much photos... i got a few tho...

but she was eeexxxcelllent... neways.. she finished her songs... and got a BIIIG applause... curtains close and she stays behind for a while.. taking photographs and stuff... then she comes out and i'm thurr waiting for her to come out.. my sister poised with the camera in
arm....

couple of guys were taking photos with boookah with their phone camera..pppffft.. lol then i got a photo with her and we talked a lil and i think she remembered me.. she said sumthin.. "nice to see you" and then gave me a hug... it was such a genuine hug!!! awwwww i was a happy chappy!!! and then i was like.. "okay i can go home now..."

excitable i thought i's leave before i made a fool of myself.. lol.. so yeah i got out.. walked.. and i turned to me sister and said "OH MY GOSH!! are you seeing what happened?? it was an AWESOME night all in all.... bek loook gor-gus and she sang boooooot-ifulllllly!!!

and i reckon she'll be back again... i'm going to need to finish off the roll and then develop the photos.. so bare with mua...

"Australian Idol finalist MATT CHADWICK joins the fight against Leukaemia"

On Friday 19 March the community of Queensland's Beaudesert will join forces with Australian Idol finalist MATT CHADWICK in the battle against Leukaemia. Matt will host and perform at the Beaudesert Services Club, as it again supports the Leukaemia Foundation's "Shave/Colour for a Cure".

Last year the event raised over $10,000, and this year, with the inclusion on the popular Gold Coast Idol, it is hoping to "lift the bar".

Matt will be joined by Melbourne Musical Director Matthew Bradshaw in an appearance that is set to showcase a new direction for the Australian Idol top twelve contestant. Turning heads with his recent performances on the Idol Live Tour, and having secured a management
deal with Richard Macionis (who also manages TV music man John
Foreman), Matt has been strategically teamed with Bradshaw, with
plans to take the new act to venues across Australia. The two
received critical acclaim following an appearance on Bert Newton's
GMA (Network Ten).
"I'm looking forward to this gig as aside from raising money for a
worthy cause, it's also a chance for me to show where I'm heading
musically, and what better place to debut than on my own front door" , Matt will also help judge the night's ''Beauy Idol"
Competition.

I really liked Bek. She could be a little inconsistent, but when she got it right, it was good.

I would go and see her. I think she has a beautiful spirit.
