Mighty, mighty Mark let loose on the world November 29, 2003 LOOK out world. A bloke by the name of Mark Holden is about to be unleashed on you all. Touchdown: Australian Idol judge Mark Holden is tipped to be our World Idol rep. Weekend Confidential hears the Australian Idol judge has scored a touchdown to be the local representative on the World Idol panel. His sparring partner Ian "Dicko" Dickson was tipped to be the Australian judge on the special, in which the Idol winners from around the globe will compete for the world title. But while Dicko will be heading to London for the show, it is understood he will be doing that as a representative from BMG to look out for the man our money is on, Guy Sebastian. We hear one reason Holden got the gig was because of his Australian accent. It wouldn't make sense to have Dicko, who still sounds like a Pom, or Marcia Hines, who has a bit of an American accent, when World Idol will have its own US and British stars. Only problem is, with all that "bada bing, bada boom, mighty mighty, hubba hubba, you're the bomb" crazy talk, the rest of the world won't understand what he's talking about. But that didn't stop him here. Get used to hearing the words Popstars Live, Channel 7's answer to Australian Idol. With the network now calling for idol, whoops, popstar hopefuls to audition, it won't be long before the voting lines open – again. Sydney auditions are at Luna Park, Milsons Point on Sunday, December 14, from 10am. dailytelegraph.news.com.au/story.jsp?sectionid=1266&storyid=557603
