Virgin power helps Guy

GUY Sebastian has revealed a secret weapon that helps him focus on winning Australian Idol – his virginity.
The 22-year-old devoted Christian told the Herald Sun that despite girls throwing themselves at him he is sticking with a vow not to have sex before marriage because it makes him a stronger person.
"I've sort of made the decision to not do it before I get married, and it's freaking hard, let me tell you," he said.
"It really does make you stronger, because being in this position, you'd surely crack.
"I don't think people who have had sex are any worse than me. It's just something I choose."
Sebastian's stance on sex – as well as never taking drugs and rarely drinking – has protected himself and fellow finalist Shannon Noll against the trappings that Australian Idol brings.
"I think it's actually protected me a lot, and protected Shannon. Obviously he's got a missus and hasn't been distracted by anything else," he said.
"Neither of us do drugs, or get absolutely smashed drunk, and we haven't been sleeping around so our focus has got us here."
A refreshingly honest Sebastian said he would not take advantage of his position as one of the most desired men in the country just to get girls.
Before hitting the stage on Sebastian sang at his local church in the Adelaide suburb of Paradise.
He used to perform in front of 3000 people every week.
"It's basically a really inspirational thing," he said of the church.
"We've done a lot of mission work. It's an awesome thing to be proud of."
Sebastian said his "amazing" parents and Christianity have had a profound impact in his development.
"I think it has taught me to be very strong in the face of stuff, and I haven't lapped up what people would usually think is the benefits of being in the position I am in," he said.
