No doubt Shannon is a good performer and interpreter who with more or less success tries to sing same way originals sang their songs.
Guy on the other hand makes every song even better then the original by using his talent and creativity.
So for me Guy is already a winner and so has the AUSTRALIAN PUBLIC VOTED.
The spinners in Australian Idol have circum-vented the public opinion where Shannon was voted out of the competition and since Cosima was unable to continue Guy is technically/legally a WINNER.
Why did they decide to manipulate (yet again) the public I leave to you to draw a conclusion.

That show was a very sorry day for Aussie show business. Do they think we are fools???

I feel sorry for Shannon not knowing if he made 2nd fairly and more sorry for Guy that he could not jump and down and be real happy about winning that night.

Cosima, you are unwell and so go away now, stop giving interviews and get better.

If we are too go by the whole media beat up 'sympathy' for the bush boy thing then Shannon is a sure winner no matter how much talent he has, and that is sad too.

I get more depressed with each show I see. The boys are being run into the ground and will be lucky to have a voice left to sing in the Opera House.
