Cosima wins timing award November 06, 2003 COSIMA'S decision to pull out of Australian Idol when she did was "inspired", according to judge Mark Holden. Cosima will make a comeback at the Opera House finale. Following the move which dramatically catapulted her into the spotlight, both Holden and Dicko now are pushing hard for her triumphant return for the Idol final. Holden said it was a brilliant strategy on Cosima's behalf to quit when she did and she deserved a recording contract with BMG. She knew she was on her way out and made the most of it, he said. "I think Cosima was dealing with the reality of her voice failing and the reality of the knowledge that she wasn't going to win. She saw a way how to maximise this moment and now she's distinguised herself from everybody else when she comes back and makes her attempt to show her post-Idol form. "I give her a big pat on the back," he said. "BMG should sign her. They should get right behind her. When she comes back, BMG should sign her and get the most out of her." With ownership rights to all Idol contestants for at least 12 months, BMG are highly likely to do just that. Already flagging her comeback, BMG boss and Idol judge Dicko told Rove McManus he saw "a girl whose dreams were in tatters" and couldn't wait to see her make a comeback at the Opera House finale. But asked directly whether he had plans for Cosima's career Dicko dodged, saying: "I want to sign Millsy - he's hooked up with Paris Hilton." The Daily Telegraph

Millsy and Paris keep going From The Eye November 06, 2003 AFL player Nathan Buckley's house was the place to be on Cup night as the Magpie captain and his shoe-selling wife Tania put on a good ol' Aussie barbie for the Hilton sisters. Nicky and Paris Hilton head to the Palazzo Versace hotel on the Gold Coast. Paris turned up to the South Yarra party in a white stretch limo with her new best friend, Courtney Act from Australian Idol. Ever the fashion plate, Paris was decked out in a black pleated leather skirt with the word Hilton in studs scrawled across the back and a pink Wayne Cooper jacket. Later on, after he performed at the Anglers Tavern, Paris's new love interest, Idol reject Rob "Millsy" Mills, arrived and the two continued to get along famously. It seems every man in the country is giving a big thumbs up to Millsy for snaring one of the world's richest and most photographed women. So what did Act think of the Mills/Paris romance? "Bless him," is all she would say, adding that Paris is a "sweet girl". "She's somebody I always thought was very fabulous, and she has so many great clothes," said Act, who some are calling the third Hilton, after Paris and Nicky. It seems Act and Paris have become quite good friends – they watched the Cup together in the L'Oreal marquee, not in Seven where Paris was supposed to be. After the Buckleys' barbecue, the Hiltons and designer Cooper headed to hip bar Robarta in St Kilda, where they stayed until 3am. Yesterday the sisters and their entourage, including hairdresser Tony Reynolds, headed to the Palazzo Versace hotel on the Gold Coast for five days. Paris has hardly got home before 3am since she arrived last Thursday, so a bit of rest is probably exactly what she needs. We hear that Mills and Act may even be joining the duo for some fun in the sun at the weekend. Herald Sun entertainment.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,4459,7784637%255E10431%255E%255Enbv,00.html
