Paulini on song for solo career October 29, 2003 ANYONE worried about Paulini's future – don't. She plans to take a break after her rollercoaster ride on the show before looking for a new recording contract as a solo act. And given she's been a session singer for both Delta Goodrem and Bec Cartwright, and now top four in Idol, she's got pretty good references. "I'd love to do this full time," she said yesterday. After her shock loss on Monday night, the 21-year-old had dinner with her family in Sydney's Chinatown, to debrief them about her whole Australian Idol experience. It was the first time she had lived away from home. "I have learnt to depend on me and not to depend on my parents," she said. "And I think I've become a stronger person because of that." And on the notorious "shed some pounds" comment, she is still remaining strong. "I'm not going to change how I look or anything and I'm not going to lose weight to be on a show or to get a recording contract," she said. "I'll lose weight when I want to." THE remaining Australian Idol finalists call it the "doomed room". The bedroom in the Australian Idol safe house that's already put paid to the dreams of Millsy, Cle, Kelly and Lauren. But Idol's Guy Sebastian is obviously not superstitious. A man of fastidious tastes, the South Australian decided last week that a personal ensuite was worth the risk and moved into the room just days after Millsy's departure. He escaped – but only just. dailytelegraph.news.com.au/story.jsp?sectionid=1266&storyid=405555
