Heartache at Idol farewell

Tears flowed as Australian Idol gave the boot to two of its original finalists.
20-year-old Matt Chadwick and 27-year-old Peter Ryan were told their fate in the Monday night edition of Australian Idol. There were the audiences least favorites in the first round of nail biting finals.
But the two boys were obviously more popular within the already tight group of 12. Tears flowed from many of the girls as the names were announced.
Third least popular was rock chick Kelly Cavuoto, narrowly escaping eviction from the competition.
Next week’s show will be an Australian Idol Number 1’s show, where contestants will battle it out again with the help of former Australian number one hits.
