Latest idols in a daze

A GOLD Coast theme park worker and the frontwoman of a rock band are the latest Australian Idol contestants to make it to the Top 10.
Kelly and Matt celebrate.
Matt Chadwick, 20, and Kelly Cavuoto, 22, were voted as the best of the bunch in Round 2 last night.
Matt, who works at Movie World presenting the character of Fred from the Scooby Doo Gang, was in a state of shock after the vote. (More Australian Idol)
"It's just very, very overwhelming," he said in the minutes after making the final 10.
Matt chose to wow the audience with a version of the Lionel Ritchie classic Truly.
"This is the first competition I've ever entered," he said. "The talent in my group is just unbelievable."
For Kelly, the shock was not only that she had made the final 10, but that she got the support of bad boy judge Ian "Dicko" Dickson.
"Dicko said 'I'm going for Kelly', I couldn't believe it," she said.
"I'm in shock. All day I was sitting here going 'I'm so not in'."
Kelly chose the recent hit Bring Me To Life, and may need someone to do just that for her this morning.
"I have to get up at 6am for interviews but I'm still going to get nicely toasted," she said.
