Isn't there some way artists can be recorded so that they sound just like they do live? When you hear their 'recording voice' it sounds only about half as good as it does live. Only a few singers sound really really good when recorded.

Yeah I totally agree with you here.
I listened to the NZ Idol sing on a CD aomeone went me and I thought it was good, OK, but not stunning or anything. Then I had the pleasure to hear him sing live and couldn't believe I was listening to the same person. He really has a brilliant voice. What happened?
It makes you realise just how good the voices of CD singers are that sound brilliant on there. I haven't heard most of them live so it really makes me think.
He, he and yeah Guy's voice is even more brill live than he is on TV.
