The computer I currently use is set so that when you connect it automatically turns MSN Messenger on. This is one of the things run by Windows Messenger. This is annoying because other people in my family connect who don't use MSN. It can happen that someone writes something to me when I'm not actually there. And if I'm there but don't want to talk I would have to change my settings to busy or appear offline everytime after I connect, which is annoying. How do I change my settings so that MSN Messenger won't go on unless I turn it on?

Hey David, Go into Tools and then Options. Select the General tab and then should be an option that says, " Automatically run Messenger when I log on to Windows" and check if there is a tick in the box. Also check the other settings while you're there. Hope that helps ~Af~ Edited: Opps I just realised GuyisMyNumber1 wrote the exact same thing It's been a loooong day!
