Superb CD of live tracks from the show, featuring Guy Sebastian and the magic of Steve Cropper and the MGs plus Carl Dimataga, the fabulous BVs of Dee, Patricia and Gary Pinto, plus our best horns The finally we got it DVD of the show, Arranged pretty much at the last minute, but still great. We get some good "Guy" stuff that we love, although not as much as we REALLY get (with all his humour and tall tales) AND the documentary of his recording in Memphis. You get to see Guy on the keys, guitar and drums And it debuted at no. 12 - considering Andre Reiu has something like 9 DVDs out and has a high marketing EVERYWHERE, including every post office you can think of (just watch you don't fall over his DVD stands), and there was little advertising. No TV happenings, no big sells, nuffin - except our Guy.. And most stores complained of only getting 3 or 4 delivered. 12 as a debut is outstanding. Itunes have been carrying at least 9-11 songs off the live album in the top 100 songs in the Blues Genre, with Let's Stay Together topping the chart all week (a slight wobble when George Thorogood stepped in for a fleeting moment), and the Album (the Live The Memphis Tour is available on Itunes) topping the Album chart. Can anyone imagine what Guy would ever get if there was 'normal' as in other people's marketing and advertising? Oh - and he was #63 in the most sought after MUSICIANS on youtube just a couple of days ago. In the WHOLE OF YOUTUBE. ;D
