Ok, so the judges have said this to a number of contestants - "You're affected".
Call me stupid but I'm unfamiliar with the context they're using the word affected in. What do they mean by "You're so affected"?

Yes, I think it means that they have become tarnished by watching other people performing, and wishing they could be like them. So instead of being themselves they try to perform and behave like someone else, and come off seeming insincere and fake.
