well, i read in the paper today that after a survey was done in the UK, Canada, South Africa and Holland Guy came up as the 2nd most popular Idol. I think those odds are pretty good for Guy, but it's really up to America to decide because of their population size.

America should decide nothing - after it's appalling display on the world stage of reality this year.

one survey says one thing, another says another, maybe people on that perticular voting site arent r&b fans, or australian or anything.... its safe to say that nobody expect alexander to get higher than guy

But these are just for who the UK is voting for. You would expect that they would vote strategically for who they think would not win in an attempt to prop up Will's chances.
I can imagine this to be the case in Oz too.

but it's really up to America to decide because of their population size. The voting system allocates all votes to a number, it will have nothing to do with population size, if Guy does get the most votes in the US, he'll still get 10 points, same with Kurt if he gets the most votes in Oz.. I only count on America to give Guy the 10 points but they don't determine anything and especially the winner.

I often see people use 'meh' in their comments, and while I can tell what is meant I was just wondering if this is supposed to stand for something, and if so, what.

I can imagine this to be the case in Oz too. Unfortunately I don't think it is, seems a lot of people have been voting for Kurt here.
