yeah i saw that, but she had tears in her eyes and you could see she was proud, at the same time she probably felt bad for Shannon.

I think she was probably too emotional.
I think she REALLY wanted Guy to win and secretly been rooting for him (despite the fact that she was trying to act all impartial).

I was actually quite pissed off! What was she thinking? Holding her hands crossed when everyone was applauding? Proud? So was everyone else, but still showing it! If she holds some other believes of hwo to show when she is "proud", she should keep them for some other not so important occasion, where all Australia will not see her and be left wondering - what da........!

I think she still had teh pole up her clanger from her performance when she danced. Folding her arms was the most comfortable position
I think she should stay behind the table and not dance

marcia fold her arms after guy was announced as the winner - she was the only one that didn't clap for him!!! what gives A group of us watched it together on a big screen last night and noticed that straight away, but Dicko also was not forthcoming with a great applause. I must admit I am a Shannon fan, but thought it was in pretty bad taste, if, in fact, that's what it was. It is no secret that Dicko wanted Shannon to win. YOu just need to read editorials and listen to his radio interviews. The point is Guy won and thats that.

Dicko knows that he now has the job of promoting a highly derivative performer who's "style" of music does not (despite what all the guyhead here are saying) sell well in OZ
his company could have made more out of Shannon - unless Guy gets picked up O/S which in all likehood he wont as there are millions of people who can sing like that in UK/US you will not hear a peep from him after this album - atleast that's the view from the industry - sorry

I reckon Marcia was trying to hold her feelings in. I mean.... did ya see her reaction straight after Guy sang Climb Every Mountain?
'Hercules Hurcules Hurcules' lmfao ;D

Remeber when Marci defended Paulini and said that she hoped Australia was voting for a voice? Well in Guy, Australia sciored a voice. My interpretation of Marcia's reaction to Guy's win was that she was nodding her head with satisfaction that justice had been done - Australia had recognized the talent in Guy. And probably the fact that Australia had voted for a singer with an ethnic background, like her own. Marcia also said in previous episodes that she felt very close to all the finalists as if they were her own kids. Anyone who is a mother would realize that when two of your kids are competing it is very difficult to offer a fair reaction when only one wins - you dont want to make the other feel bad - I agree that Marcia was valuing both singers by holding back her reaction. But you could see her eyes were glistening with pride for Guy. As for Dicko, I always thought that Dicko wanted Guy to win, based on all his compliments to him. Congratulations Guy. Jill

Actually I thought Dicko wanted Guy to win as well, remember he said that while Guy and Shannon both held national appeal, Guy held international appeal as well.

Looking back at that moment Marcia was holding back her feelings of joy and she wanted to hear the crowd roar with happiness... and I also think that at that moment...
Dicko no doubt would like GUY to win... Guy according to Dicko is a needle in a haystack... a rare talent!

I have a feeling ALL the judges wanted to Guy to win, but I am sure Marcia in particular did. Remember the first week people were getting kicked out in the final 12, and Guy was told he was through and Marcia jumped out of her seat cheering? C'mon, he was clearly her favourite!
