A serious question here. I have been carefully watching and listening Mark Holden's comments over the past couple of weeks and I get the impression from his comments, that he will start a sentence, then be overcome with a mental blank, then just start repeating his previous words over and over, until another judge interjects or the audience starts booing or clapping, hence saving him from having to finish his comments (which would be utter rubbish anyway) The result being, that the person the comments are directed at have no idea what he's on about. E.g His comments about Comisa last week. He said he was concerned.......concerned....concerned....then the auidence starting booing. It appeared as though it tries to drag out his stupid comments by repeating the same words, waiting for someone to interrupt so his doesnt have to finish, mainly because he has nothing to say. Back stage, when given a chance to explain what the hell he was going on about to Cosima, he still couldnt get it together other than to say he was concerned about her performance?! Yeah.....? So......? Does anybody know whether he has a personality? Why can't he think of anything intelligent to say like Dicko? Dicko's a legend by the way! ;D TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please comment....

Interesting choice of judges........
Dicko is the hard nosed businessman who knows that his own job is on the line if we end up with a crap "idol". He has a vested interest in the outcome. I was interested to see how he changed at about the time the final 12 were announced. He became less unpleasant and more encouraging - lets face it, some of the top 100 were TERRIBLE! His comments to Paulini about "that" dress were understandable but he could have been a little more diplomatic. The stylist who encouraged her to wear that dress should have been fired - she's a very talented, beautiful young woman who was given really bad fashion advice.
Marcia was the tempered voice of reason. Regardless of your talents, it must be really hard to go into a room and audition for these people. She spoke her mind but was the one to make sure no-one left having been treated unfairly or cruelly.
Mark Holden - well, who knows why he's there. He seems unable to utter a complete sentence in plain English. I'd have a look at his track record - Vanessa Amarosi (where is she now?), Sophie Monk (need I say more) and Nikki Webster (God save us). Someone like Harry M Miller or Paul Dainty who actually know the international music scene would have been better choices. But I guess MH is cheaper and more readily available

"I'd have a look at his track record - Vanessa Amarosi (where is she now?), Sophie Monk (need I say more) and Nikki Webster (God save us)." What everyone seems to be forgetting is that he also produces Delta's records and have a look at her she picked up seven aria's from an album he produced. Also despite what people think he does actually speak english. I know, I know, he can be hard to understand sometimes and you find people saying "what the...?" but try to understand what his saying. Maybe the 70's affected his vocab or something, but i'm sure he try's hard to string sentances together in commen english. He just fail's sometimes

Sorry, I'd forgotten he's written (did he produced too?) songs for Delta Goodrem.
Delta's a good enough talent but (music industry wise) probably won't have much longetivty.
Winning 7 Arias in the same year isn't a great show of anything other than you're flavour of the month. 7 over 5-6 years would be a lot more impressive. That or having the number of titles to your name as Marcia.

Mark Holden- is simply too caught up with trying to be cool and re-invent himself. He has rarely had anything sensible to say. Look at the way he ridiculously behaved when Levi and Paulini were in the bottom three. He rehashes about five or six Holdenisms week after week. I can tell you that the contestants are not that keen on him at all.
Marcia Hines - has she said anything interesting since the final 12 began ? At least she is positive but her bias for Paulini was a bit much. She seems to really feel for the contestants though in a genuine way
Ian Dickinson - He has a vested interest not to have a dodgy idol but also a smart businessman. He has first dibs on whoever idol he wants to sign ! I look forward to the big softy (who is rough on the outside) speaking and i tend to pay more attention to them.

People are also forgetting that Mark was responsible for writing and producing David Hasselhoff's CD. For that alone, he should burn.

No - simply for encouraging Hasselhoff to pursue a singing career. Hideous!

Okay hasselhoff was bad but, you can't blame Mark for that. You just don't like him. That's fine if you dislike the guy but don't be that drastic. Burning him? Well...I don't really think that's what civilized societies do these days... maybe back in the days of the Salem witch trials. You can't knock a guy for his job which you did. He was employed to work with Hasselhoff, making it his job. You also just contradicted yourself.

You might not like David Hasselhoff - but it appears millions of Germans do.
You know what they say - "there's no accounting for taste"!

How did I contradict myself?? You said it was his job to encourage Hasselhoff to sing and I agreed and said for that, he should burn!!! Mayhaps burning is too harsh...perhaps spanked nastily with a feather duster until his bot-bot turns red?! Obviously you are a Mark lover. And obviously I am not. So leave it at that.
