No you're not alone, angel01. My son (16) loves INXS, Elvis and heaps of old 70's stuff..............probably because my husband and I still play it so much! My boy who is 17 plays all kinds of weird and wonderful music a lot of beatles,Paul simon,Bob Marley(he's been hearing that since before he was born),Marcy playground(i like them too),supertramp, bob Dylan, I even heard a bit of frank sinatra one day and Ben Harper(he's good). At least it sounds good when he is playing it full blast.

I love Duran Duran, Cold Chisel and midnight oil. I also love Split Enz. I just brought my third Enz vynal(I'm getting there slowly). I like alot of the 80's music but am definatly a 70's girl. My love of Sherbet, Skyhooks(yes, I like both, I know it's strange) Dragon, etc is what outweighs my love of all the above plus U2 and Inxs. I think so anyway, but maybe we should come back in a month and it might be different. Most of all I like the Australian bands. Men at work, Aussie Crawl, Inxs ect.

Donny Osmond & Cliff Richard was before my time thank god!
I was in love with Wham (Oh George & Andrew hehehe)
Loved Culture Club
Then moved onto Michael Jackson and Bon Jovi.
I always loved Queen as well (my parents influence, they were major queen fans)
Come to think of it I still listen to them all except Bon Jovi.

;D 70's I was a kid and would have to say ABBA was just about it because mum brought us the Arrival album. Hated KIZZ cos mum told us they were evil!
;D 80's I loved Wham, Tears for Fears, Dragon, Spandau Ballet. most pop hits. ( I was still easily lead by popular opinion) Later in the decade I really began to appreciate music for its quality. aka cold chisel, inxs, bon jovi. (start of my rockin years)
;D 90's Started listening to all sorts of music, discovered a love for Beatles, Simon and Garfunkle, Cat Stevens, Billy Joel, Elton John, Rolling Stones just to name a few
;D 00's finds me caught up in this whole idol thing. Back to popular music. They always say you revert back to your childhood!

I love most of the artists that you have mentioned. My dad kind of converted me to Dragon because he use to go and listen to them practise in Brunswick St(lucky thing) Gee, I wish I was born earlier.
