When it comes down to it, the point of Australian Idol is to find someone who can sell albums- and not necessarily be a performer. The life of a singer I think, is based on the number of albums they sell, not how many tickets they sell for a concert. Albums will stick around forever- the concert is just icing.
So I was wondering- of the finalists (including those who have been knocked out) whose album would you buy? Whose concert would you pay to go to?
Albums I'd buy: Bek, Guy, Paulini
Concert: Guy, Paulini, Levi, Bek (because when she gets it right, she leaves everyone far behind... Guy/Paulini's voices are awesome, but they don't have the soul).
Tar and Feather (just for fun): Shannon and Rob. They really shouldn't be there.

Albums: Levi, Guy, Bek, possibly Paulini (awesome voice but needs to put more personality into what she's singing), Cosima (awesome voice but we already have one Celine Dion) and Shannon (awesome voice but his music probably wouldn't be my style).
Concerts: Levi - he's the only one (other than Millsey, who is lacking in the vocals department) who knows how to work the stage. Guy and Bek are awesome but they (especially Bek) tend to stand in the one spot and sing - fine for recording, boring for live performance.

Why would you laugh at that comment? It's perfectly valid, thanks.
Meaning that Paulini sings with no emotion - hits all the right notes and delivers the song perfectly, but without singing from the heart. Kind of like a robot. I don't like Cosima's voice as much as I like Paulinis but Cosima touches me more when she sings because she sings with so much emotion.

Kayti, we must've been born with the same brain (or taste)... I feel the same way about Paulini. The fact that she can perform so well and so consistently on all the different styles thrown at her so far ironically speaks against her as a 'heart' performer. Cosima I quite like, although she tends to overinterpret... I think that's where the Celine Dion factor comes in. If she'd stick to the low notes only (she does huskiness to perfection), I'd also buy her album ..

We'll see what Levi is made of this Sunday.... Bobby Brown never had a good voice, so let the performer out!
