omg, he's really hot! & so is axle, and he's got a beautiful voice. i really hope they both get thru. they do hav really good voices tho...plus, we need sum eye candy!  |

Not very....as dicko said last night....the G factor: grannies, girlies and gays. You can't see past his looks....peter may be a pig farmer and Shannon a maori but I thought they were heaps better singers than daniel right thruout the auditions and into sunday night!

Very shallow indeed. Daniel has a reasonable voice but it's very limited. I just can't see how he could possible be a recording artist who people actually have to listen to rather than look at.  |

oh 4 sure it's shallow...but i hav gotta admit i like old songs heaps, so his choice of song does appeal 2 me. i thought peter, eli & lorena were all heaps betta...& i don't want dan 2 win.
as 4 shannon, yeah he was really good, but r&b doesn't appeal 2 me at all, nor does his type of voice, no matter how good it is.
axle on the other hand i thought was awesome, but we'll hav 2 wait & see this sunday...

Well, yes its shallow...but its true!! And sadly, thats the nature of showbiz....looks matter!! whether they should, is another story, but thats the way it is. At the same time, i don't think it would be unfathomable for peter to end up being the australian idol....but i do think it would be harder for him to become an international success. People such as Daniel, Axle and Matt(I'm surprised no one had mentioned him, he's so gorgeous!!) are easier to market. I do agree however, that Daniel probably didn't deserve to get thru to the next round...he was good, but i thought eli and lorena were better.

I must admit that Axle is a cutey, I am a fan of his but not because of his looks!!
But yes, it is quite shallow. I think thats why Daniel and Matt got through.

Something about Daniel's hair- it's too artificial. And that campy way he sings his cabaret song "Mack the Knife".
Axle (real name Alex) was like that too in his first audition. Then he said he hammed up his final performance- how can we take him seriously. Esp. since he sang "Fragile" so well and sincerely. He blew it.
The only attractive guy has been Shannon, who sang "Better Man" because he doesn't act fancy or anything like that, he's just a real, regular guy, and doesn't go for the cheap sentiment a la Matt and Daniel.

Axle is gorgeous - and a Melbourne boy. Hmmm... I think he'll be brought back for the wild card round. Dicko said in an interview that if he had to go out on a limb for anyone, it'd be Axle because of his great looks and popularity with the ladies. I loved his performance of 'Pastime Paradise' - different and engaging. Gorgeous.
I love Daniel too and he has a good voice, but I'm not sure what kind of music he would be doing if he won? Broadway musicals, as great as they are, don't exactly sell to the majority of the Australian public.
Lastly, Levi. Two words: sex god. 'Nuff said. Please bring him back.

For TrinityAxle's song was JAZZ and if you're unfamiliar with that style of music you must be like 10 years old. It is THE best form of improv music...better than rap in my humble opinion! You will never hear a song sung exactly the same and that's what I love about LIVE music.

well then i guess u r as dum as everone as ere ok let me get dis straight JAZZ is way gone no one listens to it except your oldies rap and R&B is da hit so far dtas what most people listen to he should of sang for a F****** old folks talent show not ere..hahaha no wonder he didnt get in and i bet you anything if he did get in it would of been for his looks but then again i dont think he even the tinest bit cute

no I don't think he is cute either. BTW do you even know what R&B stands for??? Its been around for as long as JAZZ and what they call R&B today is by no means 'real' R&B. And you'd be surprised at how many young'uns listen to GOOD music like jazz and such...hey in Melbourne there's even a bunch of young punk boys who play original jazz around the pubs. If you can't appreciate ALL styles of music you're not really a music-lover!  |
