Well, my 2cents worth (which dun even exist no more), is that shane simply performed as a drag queen, not a 'pop idol'
if any of you have gone and watched the drag shows, thats all he was doing ... dressing up, letting his hair down n doing a sundaynite drag queen review ... that kinda things good on its own, but not when u're talking international pop talent ...
if u want a drag queen performer, u have ru paul already -- and look at her even, i mean she's GOOD, in fact the BEST in her 'field', and even she cant get records into the top ten in the US, let alone internationally ... she has a niche in the gay dance party circuit, but thats it -- i guess if shane really wants to stick to portraying a drag queen and doing a drag performance, that's where he'll be aiming at, not the pop 'idol' level which is (presumed) to have a far wider universal appeal.

I think its great that Courtney got this far ;D - as was said a million times - its the whole package - and courtney definately has that... So what if her voice wasn't as good as some of the others - it was the stage presense that got me wanting to watch more - and the fact that she was hotter than any other "real" girl up there!! when you think about it, the whole package applies to any pop idol - for example: does anyone really think holly valance can sing?? come on - she's popular cos shes hot!! and i dont blame her for making the best from her ascests anyway - i hope rob wins just cos he reminds me of my (dec) brother, the way he tries to look innocent - but u just know he is cheecky and gettin up to no good... his good looks and adorable smile should see girls all over australia fall in love with him GO MILLSIE!! love fellow melbournian, kj

Er, Seth, Boy George is not a drag queen. A drag queen is a male who dresses up and performs as a woman. Boy George always performed as a male -- he just chose to wear a lot of make-up and do amazing things with his hair.

I am dissapointed in the Australian people. I would think that being so evolved as people that we would understand the she is only human. It doesn't matter that she is a man dressed as a woman! it didn't matter to me that she was a man dressed as a woman, it just got on my nerves after a while that she managed to slip the fact in to everything she said, even if it was completely unrelated to the question she was asked!! if i can remember right, she also made a lot of 'promiscuous' comments, & i believe that if a female contestant had acted like that, she would have been scorned for being a sl*t, which was a bit of a double standard. (i am sorry if i sounded homophobic in this comment, i assure u i am not, i just didn't like courtney act.) If you are male you are scared of her because you feel attracted to her. Now if you are female you are scared because she is better looking then you. Get over yourself and your insercuritys as a person!! i think thats A LITTLE BIT OF A GENERALISATION!!!! No, actually, she was a shehey danniiboy, i actually have an honest question about this. are u supposed to refer to someone who is performing in drag as he or she? i never quite know what to say, especially since Courtney often made references to the fact that 'she' was a 'he'. is there a proper etiquette for this? peace go shannon
