I for one cannot *stand* him! Yes, he does appear to have some 'anger issues', doesn't he, in fact I recall a friend of his said that he used to be quite the little tantrum-thrower when he was young and would often lash out violently at others for some perceived offence, 'although he's learned to control it now'. Is that so?!? Well, I don't know about you guys, but after the infamous 'Rock DJ' debacle I have never seen anyone look more like they were seriously debating the merits of punching someone out on national tv. Seriously scary. He comes across as a petulant little twat and I will not be sorry to see him go.
And the hair! He looked ridiculous.

I must say I abhor violence, and get particularly distressed about young men who feel it is their right to get angry and aggressive when someone does/says something they don't like. What particularly concerns me is that there seems to be a lot of younger women in Australia who support Daniel in spite of, or because of, this outrageous display.
For the sake of our whole society, we have to stop accepting the type of aggressive behaviour that Daniel showed that night in the semi-finals. No doubt he had reason to be frustrated and disappointed, but the reaction he had was way out of proportion to the offence. I was astounded to see that after he saw his own reaction he was proud that he seemed to control himself. I would hate to see him 'losing it'.
Good voice, or no good voice - he will be judged by us as the competition grows. I just hope that he can see what a terrible example he gave to the young people watching - young men may feel it is their right to behave in this way, and young women may continue to accept it.
Sorry for the seriousness - I have seen too many victims of spousal/partner abuse - the abuser always feels his (it's usually a man who is the abuser) actions are justified.
Sorry again for my outburst - enjoy the show!

Fr goodness sake!!! I'd have lost my temper big time with Dicko's comments. I thought he handled it well. At least he has some gumption. He didn't throw chairs, or stalk out in the middle. He took it and gave some back and stuck up for himself. Why not. He believed in what he had done and Dicko didn't. And at least he put his viewpoint. Are you really saying he should have stood there like a lamb and said, Oh, sorry, I just thought it was a good idea at the time and put his head down. C'mon.... I believe in sticking up for what you believe in, and apparently so does he. Nah, I'm for Daniel. I really haven't been looking at it, but I saw these comments when I dashed (!!) past and have to say that twice now, while I haven't been looking and been busy doing other stuff I've heard Daniel sing and dived out to see who it was. So he's got something and he needs a stylist really really bad... Whether he can stay focused - is another thing.

I've believed in Daniel's talent since he was announced in the top 30. I don't connect his frustration at the judges to spousal abuse, and I think that's an angle to create to make him look really bad and that isn't fair.
People are supporting his bad boy image as a bit of a jokey thing, out of how he looked being frustrated not cross linking it to him being a violent person as he clearly isn't and he has had a proper upbringing if you've bothered to notice on tv.
Go Daniel, you rock, look forward to 60's night!!

Thought you weren't going to anymore...... ;D I have to agree with you though. I think Daniel has great potential. He has a class A voice and perhaps the Idol image isn't quite what he should be aiming for. As for the "temper" what about all the celebrity chefs you see on TV? No difference I reckon!
