Does anyone know what qualifications the Producers have to judge the talent in the first and second round of auditions?

No idea what so-ever. Probably no qualifications, but they know what they are looking for and what type of talent they want on the show, so they get to make the first decisions I suppose.

They didn't say what they were basing it on, they just said 'sorry, your not what were looking for' or 'sorry, it's a no for today'. You can't take it to personal, cos it's based on the decision of one person, and some of them were pretty unfair...

Yep i can totally relate Burg......
I know sum1 that auditioned, they had the most beautiful voice, but one of the judges said
"It's not the type of song you sing, its the voice."

The first lot of judges can't read music, the producer actually could!!! (I could not believe that.) And the three judges on the panel, uh uh, they couldn't.
I don't know if they'll put on the bit where Dicko said he couldn't read music, then the other three agreed with him after he took the guts to actually say it, but I'll be watching the worst cuts and praying they don't put me on. BTW, I found Dicko to be the nicer one, lol.

Well you gotta have a good face, that is what theyre looking for, make sure you smile & you make eye contact, greet the judges & have a bit of a chat before singing, say what song youre singing & take a few deep breaths. From experience big people dont seem to get in unless theyre completely extraverted like Anthony Sumbati or have operetic type voices, cause theyre not tv material you know, its harsh but true.
