On the Canadian board, someone said they heard Guy on a radio interview. They brought up the fact that the Polish judge disliked Guy and said they were embarrassed of him. Can anyone tell me if that is true or not? I sincerely hope it isn't.

I'm wondering the same thing about what judges said to Ryan, would be great to know. Thanks! Apparently they weren't kind to Ryan, said he'd be good as a lounge singer.

My apologies imayam. I've been reading posts all day and read your post about 4 times before posting this....I'm going forum-crazy! No excuse, but sorry again You read my post? i.e. Sounds to me like the judging panel consisted of a bunch Dicko's.
I mean it's ok for one or two to have that brand of critacism, but 11 would be a bit too much
You need at least 3 or 4 Marcia's thrown in there to balance out all that evilness
Perhaps Mark should've judged, so at least they could of had a comedy section. Or someone else for the judges to direct their wrath towards.
Should I bite my tongue?
*bling!* *bling!* *bling!*
Or the original post? Because I've seen that everywhere too

Oops sorry, the post on the Canadian board was a little unclear. It was the Polish Judge saying they were embarrassed of Guy..it was the Polish contestant Alicja saying she was embarrassed of the Polish judge.
Here's the whole interview thanks to Jatz on the Canadian Idol board:
T1 and T2 are the radio hosts G= guy Hot 30 interview with Guy in London 17/12/03
T1: How ya doing? G: Hey! T2: Hello gorgeous G: Hello! How ru? T2: We’re very very good. Now how’s WI treating u? G: Umm, it’s good. I’m a little jetlagged (laughs) But I’m good. It’s freezing over here. T2: You sound a little tired to me. U been out drinking all night? G: Oh man (laughs) I umm, I’ve just had a pretty long day. I’ve just recorded the show, so I’m having a ball. T2: Oh, you’ve just recorded the first show of WI? G: Yeah. It’s prerecorded, so we all had to sit thru 11 judges judging, & then they’re gonna edit it all. T1 + T2: ohhhhhh G: I’ve never met a bigger bunch of tools…in my life T1+T2: (laughs) How were they? G: They were absolute nuggets. I’ve never met a bigger bunch of – I mean dicko [the aussie judge] was cool…He’s the only one who made sense. But wait til u see the Polish guy T1+T2: Really? G: His own chick said oh, “I’m so embarrassed of u, I hate u”! (laughs). So it’s a bit funny! T2: Are the judges actually saying proper remarks & proper criticisms or are they trying to be stars themselves? G: Yeah totally that. It was totally that vibe. Like I um, I dun think it was world idol. I think it was jury idol. But yeah, not much stuff made sense. I can’t wait for u guys to see the Polish guy. He’s just a jerk. T2: Well look we’re happy for u to go them & have a fit & chuck a chair & come home. Like we’re totally cool with that as long as u make a --- G: (laughs) Well u kno, I was the only one that didn’t really, I mean me & Kelly I think we’re the only ones that didn’t cop any flak. They were pretty good to me. T1: oh that’s a good sign T2: oh good. And how were the other idol winners? There’s no egos in there that we need to flik out straight away? Coz u just let us know & we’ll start voting G: (laughs) No no no. They’re all pretty cool. Everyone’s actually really really nice & really cool. I actually get along well with the South African guy. His names Heinz Winkler (?) T1: That’s a show name isn’t it if eva I heard one G: I know! (laughs) T1: Now u come back to Australia & go bak over for the new years eve special which is the final right? G: Yeah I think…Just as I get over my jetlag here, I fly bak for another 24hr trip bak to Australia & I’m singing at the Carols which I’ve always wanted to do & I can’t wait to do that so…<br>T1: That’ll be awesome G: [unintelligible] always sorta wanted to do that since I was little T2: Well we’ll let u go, just wanted to ring & actually make sure ur doing well; & hey Guy? G: Yeah? T2: U picked up that stuff in Duty Free for me didn’t u? G: (laughs) T1: Labby! T2: I tell u what, don’t answer it, don’t answer it, I’ll let it go. Hey Guy thanks very much for chatting mate & good luck for WI! G: Thanks guys!

As far as I am concerned all the contestants are excellent and to get to world idol status deserve respect from the judges in appreciation of this. I believe they are beyond the judges' petty criticisms. Let the people of the world decide! All these contestants are winners as proven Good luck to them all!

Just thought I'd add That Guy sounds rather amused by it all doesn't he. Glad he is taking it in his stride. We could be in for a good night of comedy from the judges,eg, My ego is bigger than yours. No mine is.......................he,he,he. Sound like a right bunch of nobheads.

Apparently they weren't kind to Ryan, said he'd be good as a lounge singer. I kinda hoped Zack would vouch for him. After all, the song Ryan's performing was chosen by Zack and the other 3 CI judges for Ry to perform during the Top 3 episode. But I think Pippy's right, it's up to the world to decide who's the best. [glow=purple,2,300]GO RYAN AND GUY![/glow]

Chicagoaholic have you posted this on idol online(the blue board)?? I guess they would like to see that too. Not yet, but I will now ;D Also this is taken from an American board, with more recaps of Judges comments: Canadian judge was impressed. I believe he said that he can't wait to get the chance to work with him. Is there something going on with the Canadians? Are the Canadian's his producers or something? He had nothing but praise for GUY. Simon. You can tell Simon loved him. Simon said something about "If I wake up and see you on the morning news, i would wonder how and why you won... if I wasn't following the idol series." He also commented on someone elses's during later perfomance "You don't have personality, unlike the Aussie boy."

Hello from Norway ;D
I agree your idol is a great singer, and looks a lot better than our own Kurt. But, he actually is a charming guy with an incredible voice. The first time he was on tv, I was thinking WHAT IS THIS, but I think he's got a chance in this competition. If he doesn't win, I hope Guy does, he's great!

I think Zack did to some extent, he said that Ryan was good anyway or at least the brief interview on E Talk Daily and the comments I read seemed to indicate this.
Ouch there are some absolutely awesome comments and the Judges are just appalling to boost themselves and their nastiness above the contestants. Granted I don't think a panel of Paulas or Sass' would be good at all but honestly the comments are overboard. They entirely took down every idol like a firing squad and that is absolutely terrible.
Quality Christmas spirit viewing here.

Please correct me if I am wrong but wasn't it Simon that decided what the idols would sing? If so why on earth did he say he didn't like the arrangement of Wonderful World? Doesn't make sense!!!! I am sure each judge took the opportunity for their 5 mins of International fame but why would it come at the expense of the idols? Obviously each idol is talented enough to have the support of their country. I think it must have been a pre-arranged thing for the judges to be critical in an effort to boost the ratings. What fools the producers are - didn't they realise their ratings are assured regardless of whether or not they demeaned and humiliated these contestants in public. Tis the season to be jolly!!!!! You go Guy and keep speaking your mind about the ridiculous comments of the judges. I would much rather listen to you of the peace, love and kindess variety than to the mean and nasty types that elicit pleasure from the pain and belittlement of others. The producers definately got it wrong - it is not exciting to listen to nasty judges, in fact it is painful to watch the humiliation of others. Shame on you Dicko for joining in with the hobbit comment for poor Kurt. I agree with Guy, this comp should have been about the celebration of music and its ability to bring people together not about the ego's of the fat cat judges. Genuine constructive criticism is different to totally humiliating a person. Thats my vent!!! Nuff said!!
