You have to be 16 or over and they will announce audition dates on telly most of the time or you could just check on the official website..............................
and good luck

hey do u think tryin out 4 pop stars will get in the way of aus idol2 YOU TRAITOR! Anyway, I think Popstars will be aired at the beginning of next year (probably at the same time as Big Brother 4). AI will probably start asking for people to audition during the BB4 airing period, so it will most likely not interfere with Popstars audition. Ten will probably air AI2 after BB4 is over, similar to what they did this year.

Ten is also launching American Idol 3 to try and take all the attention away from Popstars: Live. AI3 starts in January and goes through til about May and then BB4 will be launched!

I know, that's what I said first time I saw it. same forumla for judges too. 1 used up 70's star, 1 successful female pop singer and another male. hmmm I wonder where they got that idea from?

Even if Popstars did turn out to be an interesting watch, I think I'd boycott it anyway, just on principle. What a rip off! (But I have a feeling it will be crap and no one will bother with it anyway!)

Was Scott Cain on popstars... does anyone remember him? If I had a choice I would prefer to be crowned an Idol then a popstar, everyone takes Idol a lot more seriously

Popstars: Live should be some good comedy relief...i'll just laugh at how desperate Ch. 7 are and how the show will be so similar to AI and in fact it will probably help my withdrawal from AI lol because they are so freakin similar...

Was Scott Cain on popstars... does anyone remember him? i was in dirt cheap cds the other day and his 'debut' cd was there for $10...i didn't even know he made an entire album!! can anyone guess what the title of it was? controlled folly I started laughing and my friend saw me holding his cd and laughed. Then she read the title as well. Then we both laughed!!
