I think that in shows such as Aussie Idol we all need someone to hate. Not that I hate Mark at all... I think he's fucking hillarious! He cracks me up! I actually like the guy... I think he has alot of guts to get up, say what the has to say, no matter how stupid or mean, and cop the kind of abuse that he gets. Hope this doesn't make you all hate me! But everyone needs someone of an unbiased opinion in their court! I hope all three judges come back next time. I think they work really well together, in a way that is really interesting.

Mark reminds me of the uncle u cringe to be in public with...DAGGY!!!
although he's all over the place with his comments (selwyn, belwyn & delwyn!), he has been spot-on on a few occasions:
1. in the first episode of idol, mark said adelaide has always been a place of great talent, & he believes they'll find some more today... they ended up finding Guy!!
2. mark said to shannnon at his first audition that regardless of what happens, shannon will make records...and he has! err, well, in the process of making a record!
3. in the first episode performances of the final 12, mark lavished praise on guy and said something like australia should vote guy in - it was obvious mark saw that guy can be a recording artist.
can't think of anything else...but i do think mark has a place in idol...he's too much a part of it now...he's irreplaceable!!! ;D

I guess Mark does have a nut or two screwed in right...i was listening to the judges comments after cosima's performances, & mark said this after L.O.V.E: "My fear is...i'm concerned...i'm just concerned for you..."
the crowd boos him though...so he ends what he was saying. The week after, she sang You don't have to say you love me, & Mark said something like,
"in the last couple of weeks, I've noticed a certain huskiness appearing in your voice...are you coping? are you handling it all well?"
After River Deep Mountain High he goes "It just didn't feel right to me"
So he did notice & was concerned for cosima. i think overall, mark seems to be a nice guy (the levi thing was a case of sudden brain numb, is all)

Just thought I'd say this, because I find it unfair when certain things that are said are taken out of context, and I have these on file. I guess Mark does have a nut or two screwed in right...i was listening to the judges comments after cosima's performances, & mark said this after L.O.V.E: "My fear is...i'm concerned...i'm just concerned for you..." Mark was referring to the choice of song, not Cosima's performance of it, when he said that. What he said was: "...my fear is that...I mean, your confidence is fantastic, your performance was wonderful, but it's a subtle song in a way, and it's not a big lift off song...I'm concerned...I'm just concerned...I'm concerned for you, that's all." But your correct with the other two, Mark did notice that Cosima was having problems with her voice, and was justifiably concerned for her.
