-You get out of bed in the cold, early hours of the morning specifically to see Guy on lame shows like Today and Kerri-Anne. -You go into a shop and stay there for ages even though you don'tplan on buying anything, cos they're playing Guys album over the speakers. -You still post regularly at an Australian Idol board months after the show has finished.
What have you done that have made you stop in the act and realise you're a tad too obsessed with Guy for your own good?

i was only thinking to myself today i REALLY have to get over this obsession - Grand final and world idol results i had friends in 3 different states ready to SMS me when they found out the results, (4am in the morning for world idol) - staying up till 3am to post on Guy sites - buying albums for everyones birthday and christmas presents just to boost his album sales!!! ok the list could go on but it could get embarassing.

Heh heh, great idea for a thread random! - Wasting all your money on magazines/newspapers you'd never even think about buying before, just so you can get that article on Guy, or Guy poster. (I'm really guilty of that!) I can so relate. It's quite scary, isn't it? Just wait til AI2 starts, then we won't look so weird.

Hahaha - I LOVE this...
*Your chemistry lecturer knows how many sleeps till the Australian Idol final/the single release/the first album/the concert/the next single because you insist on having a count down in your lecture room
*You encourage guys you know to not cut there hair and grow a 'fro (I am soooo guilty of this one)
*You find yourself talking about Guy to people you've just met (I am so 'Hi. I'm Mon. Are you a Guy fan?')

-Your Guy album gets turned on before the kettle in the morning.
-You have more Guy Posters then you have family pictures.
- Everything in your room has an 'Afro' theme.
- You leave family get togethers to check up on Australian Idol/ Guy forums.
-You have a Shannon VooDoo doll.

Ahahah. ;D - You actually start becoming suspicious of people who aren't Guy fans, or if they haven't bought his cd yet. ;D - You use said artciles and posters (from magazines you'd never look at before) to compose a sort of scrapbook on Guy, which you look at occasionally (guilty as charged! )

-you develop a reflex reaction to lunge forward and press record on the VCR at any moment you see or hear anything Guy-related!

Well how pathetic am I ... I was just going turn the Aussie Idol concert into a DVD. To do this I needed to start with the video recording I had made and... I couldn't find it. Oh no! I looked high and low, had all the tapes out on the floor. Was it wiped? Horror! My husband was now out looking. (I'm sure by this stage he was contempleating leaving this increasingly hostile home environment.) But... he found it! Yay! My life has returned to normal again. This is a bit sad really... I know I have the bug.

;D you guys have made my day, I am so guilty of all of the above. i was even sent a sympathy card from a friend when she found out i couldn't go to the concert. Glad to see i'm not alone. my mum (who lives in another state) has recorded interview and cut out articles to send to me. My sister sat in her back yard holding out her moblie phone for 20mins so i could listen to the civic park GUY concert in Adelaide. (So cool she heard the rehersals and performance from her house) You know your obsessed when you try and convince your pregnant sister that GUY is a really cute name for her baby. Ah it's great to be with others who understand.

hahah. But Guy would be a good name though! When I'm older, and if I have children, I'm seriously thinking of calling my baby boy Guy.
oh no, I'm obsessed, aren't I?

*if i hear Guy's cd playing in a shop i will be in there for as long as possible.
*try and get any newspaper/magazine or anything that connects a story to Guy.
*if there is something on the late night news about guy i will stay up even though my eyes are closing in second intervals.
*listen to guys music on the comp everyday if i don't i get a little frustrated.
wow we are a little over the top but when it comes to Guy but he is worth every penny and second of my time..

*most of the above ;D, plus: *youre late getting to work/school cos you spent too much time on message boards *everytime someone mentions the word 'guy' you jump cos youre not sure if they mean just 'guy' or THE 'GUY' *youve copied all his songs from cd onto your computer and keep playing them while youre supposed to be working/doing homework *your partner rolls his eyes everytime he hears something about guy on news or radio
